The French laboratory La Roche-Posay is one of the most respected brands by me as a dermatologist. I can’t say that I’ve tried many of their products, but I confidently believe that they have absolutely cool products that really work, and not only on me. Behind certain time I have accumulated several La Roche-Posay products, and I decided to make great review on them, to show favorites and relative outsiders.
I'll start with the well-known line of products for problem skin Effaclar, I have a cleansing gel, lotion and spot treatment for imperfections from this series.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Astringgent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant
Efaklar Lotion for tightening pores with micro-exfoliating effect
Indications for use: Enlarged pores uneven surface skin. For oily problem skin, including sensitive skin.
Properties: EFFACLAR Lotion cleanses pores and reduces their size thanks to a combination of cleansing agents and the micro-exfoliating action of the active ingredient - microexfoliant Lipo-Hydroxy Acid.
Result: Pores are narrowed, the skin surface is smoother.
Apply to previously cleansed facial skin using cotton pad. Does not require rinsing with water. When finished, gently pat your face dry with a napkin or clean cotton pad.
A slightly sticky alcohol-based lotion that dries out inflammation well and has light astringent an effect due to which the pores should narrow, but this does not happen for me, but it is not particularly required. But with exfoliation, the lotion works “excellently” - the skin feels very smooth. But I try not to get carried away with this lotion and use it periodically. For example, I use lotion only during the period of active rashes, and cancel it when everything is more or less normal :)
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Skin Anti-inperfections Correcteur
Efaklar DUO [+]
Indications for use: For oily problem skin prone to acne. Suitable for sensitive skin.
Properties: Reduces pronounced imperfections. Corrects and prevents the appearance of post-acne marks. Effective after 24 hours. Light cream-gel is ideal for oily sensitive skin - non-sticky, non-greasy, easily absorbed, moisturizes the skin and provides a mattifying effect.
Result: After 24 hours: redness decreases. After 8 days: pronounced imperfections are visibly reduced. After 4 weeks: -52% inflammatory elements. Pores are cleansed, skin is smoother, discharge sebum normalizes.
Recommendations for use: Apply morning and/or evening to cleansed face, avoiding the eye area. The product serves as an excellent base for makeup.
I also use this cream during periods of exacerbation of inflammation. The cream has a light and well-absorbed consistency and is applied in a very thin layer. If applied locally to inflammation, it will burn and burn for quite a long time, but if applied to large areas of the skin, then such an effect is practically not felt. Helps inflammation resolve faster and dries the skin a little. Again, if applied pointwise, it can cause peeling and subsequent skin renewal, which also contributes to rapid, although not the most outwardly neat, healing. Still a good working product for severely problematic skin!
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying foming gel for oily sensitive skin
Efaklar Cleansing Foaming Gel
Indications for use: For oily problem skin, including sensitive skin.
Properties: EFFACLAR Gel has a physiological pH level of 5.5. Does not contain soap, alcohol, dyes. No parabens. Based on La Roche-Posay Thermal Water.
Result: EFFACLAR Gel effectively cleanses the skin of impurities and excess sebum, leaving it clean and fresh.
Recommendations for use: Lather in your palms with a small amount of water and apply to skin with lungs massaging movements. Rinse thoroughly with water.
I often recommend this washing gel in my cosmetology medical practice for those with oily or combination skin, porous, prone to clogged pores and rough texture. Works great! Economical, foams well, does not dry out the skin at all, as it says PH 5.5, does not contain soap). It has a positive effect on reducing inflammation and, over time, reduces the number of small blackheads. I love him very much and recommend him to others!

This is the latest product in the series - a very pleasant night fluid that can even be applied to the skin of the eyelids! Delicate liquid texture, no fragrance, convenient dispenser. Comfortable to use, quickly absorbed. I can’t say that my skin is sensitive or allergic, so I can’t evaluate its direct effect. The cream itself is quite pleasant to the nose; in the morning the skin is soft and calm.
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5
Cicaplast Balm B5 - regenerating balm
Indications for use: Dry, irritated skin of babies, children and adults. Can be used for cracks, abrasions, childhood diathesis, eczema, peeling, chapped lips, sunburn, mild burns and dry skin. Can be applied to the body, face and lips.
Properties:- Improves the skin restoration process [Madecassoside] + [Copper-Zinc-Manganese] - a complex with recognized antibacterial properties. - Soothes dry, irritated skin [Panthenol 5%] - Protects skin [Rich, nourishing texture] + [Barrier that prevents bacteria from entering the skin surface] Texture is non-greasy, non-sticky, does not leave white marks.
Result: Instant feeling of comfort: skin is restored and soothed.
Recommendations for use: Apply multi-restorative agent CICAPLAST BALM B5 twice a day to previously cleansed dry skin. Can be applied thickly for occlusion or thinly for immediate protection. Avoid the eye area.
My eternal assistant against wounds, irritations, and minor allergies. Excellent healing, softening and soothing. In general, as a dermatologist, I recommend it to many as a universal family cream for most everyday skin problems.
And the other day an improved formula of this cream was released, which also contains SPF 50! Ideal in the post-peeling period, as a means of recovery after injection procedures, as well as in summer period as a healing agent sunburn, when they have already appeared, but it is impossible to protect yourself from further exposure to the sun!

I still don’t need anti-aging care right now, but since the manufacturer claims that even for skin 20-30 years old this cream will only do good, that is, improve complexion and microrelief, then I agreed to test this cream.
The cream has a rather light but sticky consistency, a specific, but very light and faintly noticeable smell of “vitamins”. I applied it to my face at night, about an hour before bed, and it still stuck to the pillow. I felt unpleasant in the morning fat face, which I rather wanted to wash. While waiting for the effect, I became more and more angry with the cream - it was not comfortable, sticky, after a certain time, to my sadness, I discovered that it had stained the white pillowcase of the pillow a dirty yellow color. Sorry, redermic 10, but no result, no comfort, no joy from you, in general. I didn’t even bother giving it to my mom; she’ll take it even worse if the pillowcase was dyed yellow...

Opinion: very light consistency, without an intrusive odor. It spreads easily over the skin, is quickly absorbed, and there is no sticky or greasy feeling after applying the cream. After applying the cream at night, in the morning the redness of the acne disappears and the itching decreases.

Summary: I really liked the products. The products were tested on problematic skin prone to dryness, but after use the skin did not feel dry, on the contrary, more moisturized. By and large, just one product may be enough for cleansing - either gel or micellar water. In this case, both products were used alternately, and used together twice a week for a deeper cleansing. But here everyone will choose for themselves, depending on their skin condition. A very big plus for the cost-effectiveness of the funds - the funds have been used since the end of January and have not yet run out, so we can safely say that they last for 2-3 months. The cream, of course, may run out faster.

When I decided it was time to update my care, the choice fell on a pharmacy brand La Roche-Posay. I will say right away that the impressions from what I have tried are contradictory; there are both useless and incomparable means.
I don’t remember the exact prices, but everything was within 900 rubles.
About my skin: problematic combination. It is very easy to dry out to a completely indigestible state, and at the same time there is an oily sheen in the T-zone. Enlarged pores, periodic rashes, in general, the complete package. And when I started using La Roche-Posay, something hellish was happening on my face. At the same time as La Roche-Posay, I started treatment from the inside (for girls, which I advise everyone to do), which together gave a very decent result.
Effaclar Duo - anti-acne cream-gel
In theory: Effaclar Duo cream-gel based on La Roche-Posay thermal water simultaneously fights two problems - clogged pores and local inflammation. The four active components in the cream work in several directions at once: niacinamide stops the development of inflammation, a special antibacterial component prevents yeast from developing, and a complex of two acids eliminates dead skin cells and replenishes the lack of essential substances in the skin. Together they effectively eliminate existing imperfections and prevent the appearance of new ones.
The product turned out to be very light, it is quickly absorbed and is an excellent base for makeup.
My subjective opinion: The most vivid impression It was precisely this remedy that left an impression on my fragile psyche. It is very light, practically odorless, fits quite well on the skin, without leaving a film or pulling. It is also absorbed quite quickly. And this is all good, of course, but the main thing is the effect. And he was so healthy. After just a few days of use, improvements were noticeable. Moreover, the very next day This miracle remedy pulled out a couple of subcutaneous tissues that, in my uninformed opinion, were not going to appear in the light of day for another month or two. Being completely delighted, I applied it both in the morning (by the way, makeup goes on well on it, if, of course, you don’t overdo it with the cream itself) and in the evening. And I couldn’t be happier with the condition of my skin: there were fewer pimples, those that existed were ripe and ready for ruthless destruction, and the new ones disappeared just as quickly. But. Not even a week had passed before the entire skin of my face began to peel like hell, just peeling off in flakes. The consultant at the pharmacy warned me about such possible consequences and recommended that if the skin “requests to drink”, buy another moisturizer, and use Duo only once a day, which is what I did. And you know, everyone really looks better and healthier every day!

Effaclar H-a soothing moisturizer.
In theory: moisturizes skin irritated during acne treatment, thanks to its lipid content, which helps restore the hydrolipidic film. Increases the protective function of the skin due to the patented component Ceramide 5, La Roche-Posay thermal water, bisabololol, which softens and moisturizes the skin.
My opinion: The cream is of medium density, without odor or any other special features. First the good stuff: it's really moisturizing. The peeling on the face began to disappear before our eyes. However, I did not notice a miraculous effect on irritated and reddened areas of the skin. That is, it turns out that the cream copes with its task by half. But it is not the only reason, which is why I won’t buy it again, but will continue to search for my ideal moisturizer. The fact is that Effaclar H lays on the skin with a glossy film, which does not look particularly aesthetically pleasing, and generally excludes the option of applying makeup on it. If you run your hand over the skin even a couple of hours after application, a nasty shine will remain on your hand. And during the morning wash (I apply the cream, naturally, at night), it is still felt and as if washed off. In general, it would have received an absolute D if it weren’t for the hydration, but it is present and quite good. But, of course, this is not an option for the summer, and I’m unlikely to buy it next winter.

Effaclar H. Cleansing soothing mousse.
In theory: Cleansing problematic skin prone to dryness. Indications for use: Oily, dry, problematic skin. Description: Perfectly cleanses and soothes problematic skin. The creamy texture that is part of the mousse gently cleanses impurities without irritating or drying out the skin. No fragrance, no dyes, no soap, no alcohol. Contains only useful components that carefully care for the skin:
My opinion: It was love at first time, I'm not afraid of this word. First, texture. Very dense foam that pours (or what does it do there?) into sufficient quantity when you press the dispenser for half a second. Applying it is incredibly pleasant and very funny, especially for those who see you doing this simple activity (well, it’s not every day you see a girl with thick foam on her chin)). I must say that this is my first wash (and I have tried a huge number and pharmaceuticals, and luxury, and once a mass), after which the redness does not begin to play with all shades of scarlet, but rather is muted. Skin color really evens out. And with all this lightness and tenderness, the mousse cleanses perfectly. In general, I haven’t found any analogues yet and I’m unlikely to ever find them.

Hydraphase mask
In theory: Hydraphase Mask is designed to deliver, fix and distribute moisture in the surface layers of the skin. The mask has an intense moisturizing effect thanks to a combination of sodium salt hyaluronic acid and special moisturizing components. Has a light refreshing texture. 
My opinion: In addition to the cream and to enhance the effect, I also bought a mask. In appearance, consistency and smell - an ordinary cream, without miracles. One packet is more than enough for the whole face. So, we smear it on, leave it for 10 minutes, and then remove what is not absorbed with a napkin. It must be said that even after this, the remnants of the mask on the face look as unaesthetic as the above-mentioned moisturizer. And I always have a phobia that I just wash this mask on the pillow) But no, when you wash your face the next morning, you get the complete impression that the mask was not absorbed in principle, but remained quietly on the upper layer of the epidermis. Surely, after reading the previous 5 lines, you definitely decided never to buy this mask, but, you know, oddly enough, it really moisturizes well. Severe peeling went away in a couple of uses, but now I can only occasionally maintain the result.

If you look at the reviews of this La Roche Posay cream left by users, you will notice that it is extremely popular. People write that this product saved them even when their skin was just in in a terrible state because of acne. The cost of such a cream, however, is not very pleasant - about a thousand rubles. However, the effect is confirmed as clinical studies, as well as the opinions of real users.
Lipikar Baume AP
