How to make autumn leaves. Do-it-yourself voluminous paper maple leaf

Original

Today we want to tell you how you can make autumn paper leaves from the simplest paper modules. And it will, of course, be maple leaves - feathery, wide and just very beautiful. Moreover, the leaf is beautiful in itself, and can be used as an element of a garland or as a component of other crafts, the ideas of which you will find below.

Today we will talk about how to do:

To make autumn leaves out of paper, you need:

note paper (multi-colored), square; with us - with a side of 8 cm;

any glue.

How to make autumn leaves out of paper: a master class

We work with note paper - squares with a side of 8 cm. Of course, to create autumn leaves, you can use paper of any color and format, the main thing is that it should still be a square or a rectangle cut for a square.

If you take a separate leaflet (8x8 cm) for each module, the finished leaves come out too large. They can be used, say, to create a wall garland (wall, because the leaves are not double-sided after all) or to decorate a large showcase.

If each leaf is cut into 4 parts, ready-made autumn maple leaves will come out in a good size, not large and not small. And the scope of their use is expanding dramatically! It can be a packaging design element, a fragment of a postcard or crafts. Below we will look at how to decorate a gift box with such leaves, make a drawing of a tree with paper leaves and an autumn wreath.

Let's get started.

To create one maple leaf according to our sample, you need 10 squares, i.e. 2.5 sheets for notes.

We fold one of them in half and again in half, bending the folds well. Expand to original position.

Under the sheet marked in this way, we put two more sheets for notes and cut all three sheets along the folds.

We add 9 squares out of 10 diagonally.

Then we unfold each one (the module in front of us is located so that the fold lies vertically) and the right and left corners are brought to the fold, as shown in the next photo.

Three modules are already ready (let's call them large), and with the remaining six we do the same, but now we bring the lower sections on the right and left to the fold. It turned out like this (let it be small modules).

Here are all the modules that are needed to assemble one autumn paper maple leaf.

We add small modules in pairs, like this.

Lubricate them with glue - the area that is highlighted in the photo with red shading.

Then glue the big module.

We got three shamrocks. On one of them, we glue the wings-folds marked in the photo with red shading with glue.

Glue the shamrock onto the adhesive strips so as to assemble a maple leaf-fan.

We have one square left. Lubricate about half of the square with glue (the lubrication area is marked in red).

We glue them to the back of the leaf.

Now you need scissors. The lines for cutting are marked in red.

We bend the corners so as to form a leaf stalk.

Lubricate one of the parts with glue.

An autumn sheet of paper made with your own hands is ready.

What can be done from them?

Crafts from paper autumn leaves

Of course, there are a lot of options for creating paper crafts from autumn leaves. We will present only some of them. So, for example, they can effectively decorate a gift.

Gift packaging

A gift in an ordinary cardboard box will instantly “play” if you tie it with jute twine and decorate it with a couple of paper maple leaves. What do you think?

First, let's make a blank: a cardboard circle for the base of the wreath. For this you need a compass.

Let's cut out our circle.

And we start assembling the wreath. You can glue anything - any glue that takes paper. To save time and reliability of crafts, we used double-sided tape.

We cut it into relatively narrow strips and stick it all over the ring.

Remove the protective paper and glue the finished paper leaves.

paper tree craft

It's simple: on a piece of drawing paper, paint the trunk and branches with paint.

And we glue our autumn paper leaves in random order.

Autumn ends. There are almost no leaves left on the trees. But you can make a bright and beautiful autumn bouquet of paper.

Autumn ends. There are almost no leaves left on the trees.

But you can make a bright and beautiful autumn bouquet of paper. To do this, we need sheets of colored double-sided paper. Preferably yellow, orange, red, burgundy and green. You will also need scissors, glue and a good mood.

With such paper leaves you can decorate a room for some autumn holiday, you can make an autumn garland, or you can just put them in a vase so that they remind us of golden autumn in winter.

By the way, you can still download or just with all kinds of autumn leaves.

Step 1

We take a sheet of A4 paper. And fold it in half.

Step 2

We draw a strip along the diagonal of a leaf folded in half. We take scissors and cut the workpiece along the line.

&

Step 3

We unfold the leaf. We have to learn a triangle. We fold it with an accordion, starting with the widest part. The smaller the folds, the more corrugated the leaf will turn out.

Step 4

We compress the resulting "accordion" and bend it from the bottom up.

Step 5

From the remaining pieces of paper, cut narrow strips and twist them together. This will be the stem of the leaf.

We fasten it with a loop.

Step 6.

We glue the fold on the stem. We glue the two halves of the leaf.

Step 1

In order to make a maple leaf, we take A4 paper in the same way, fold it in half, draw a strip diagonally. And then draw two corners. The drawing should resemble a Christmas tree.

Step 2

Cut out the Christmas tree. Expanding. And we collect with an accordion, starting from the bottom.

Step 3

Japanese wisdom from ancient times says:
"The great square has no limits."
Try to fold a simple figure,
And in a moment it will carry away an interesting thing.
...
And in the fairy-tale kingdom of paper figures
Learn to be kind, be confident,
And many different gifts pleasant
You can give to family and friends.

Autumn is a creative time: a riot of foliage colors, an abundance of a wide variety of fruits inspire numerous ones. Today, Motherhood offers an unusual selection: we will create autumn crafts not from natural materials, but from colored paper!

We need: a pencil, a ruler, a glue stick, paints and a brush, we choose colored paper in autumn shades:

Boasted leaf maple:
I was, like everyone else - green,
And now I'm like this -
yellow, red, gold,
And ruddy, and carved -
Well, handsome painted.
Everything in me, like the sun, shines,
And anyone will notice me!
He didn't brag for long.
Suddenly broke away from the branch,
I dived down into the clearing,
Lie down more comfortably... and... fell asleep.

Our origami will be assembled from module "trefoil". The scheme of its assembly:

Option 1. Prefabricated shamrock

Option 2. Whole shamrock

On the basis of such modules we assemble our maple leaf. See what stylish, and sometimes completely unimaginable maple leaves you can get:

You can collect a leaf from multi-colored modules by combining them with a vein pattern:

You can decorate plain paper in the most interesting ways: paint with colored pencils or paints (for example, using a cotton swab), make an application, leave prints and prints of hardwood monotypes, crumple a leaf, decorate for folk ornaments, make a “mound” pattern of cereals or tea leaves glued on.

You can make a rainbow out of a maple leaf:

You can make an autumn calendar leaf from an old wall calendar.

Or decorate the leaf with original lacing.

The composition called "Autumn Waltz" deserves special attention. It is made from music paper.

You can create the effect of a bright autumn leaf under transparent ice using sparkles and stretch film.

From multi-colored autumn leaves using the origami technique, you can assemble a bright wreath that will decorate any interior.

Accordion sheet

The original accordion sheet is even faster than the origami sheet. To make it, you need to make a bend in the middle of a sheet of colored paper. Fold the sheet "accordion". Make a kind of depression in the center, attach a “shank” of a leaf of colored paper or thread to it, and then connect the two resulting parts of the sheet, glue them together for strength.

Autumn paper crafts with kids

Kids are happy to participate in activities with applications. We choose for them the autumn crafts they like and offer to perform it together. For very young children, you can make blanks that they can stick on the base, and you get an autumn still life:

Pieces of colored paper can themselves become leaves or part of the fruit. To do this, we draw the base and invite the baby to decorate our craft.

Then you can do the craft more difficult. We fold sheets of colored paper in a pile, then in a “book”. We draw the outlines of the future fruit or vegetable with a pencil: apple, pear, pumpkin, watermelon, mushroom, etc.

From a toilet paper roller and a piece of colored paper, you can make an apple or even a whole apple tree. To do this, wrap the roller with colored paper and attach decorative parts to it. For an apple, we use half of the roller and fasten the stalk, leaf, and, if desired, the muzzle. For a tree, we attach a crown pasted over with leaves from pieces of colored paper. For the base of the crown, you can use cardboard or a disposable plate.

Vytynanka leaves

The silhouette cutting technique, beloved by many, can also be used in autumn crafts, postcards for Teacher's Day. This work is already for older students:

You can go the simplest way: cut out the silhouettes of leaves from several sheets of colored paper and assemble an autumn bouquet from them. As in T. Pogorelova's poem:

I have an autumn bouquet
Multicolored and last.
It has maple sheet carved,
Painted viburnum leaf.
small aspen leaf
And a bunch of rowan reddens.
Here is a birch yellow leaf,
And carved yarrow.
The oak leaf is red, bright,
I looked and it got hot.
I'll dry my bouquet
I will invite autumn to winter.

Motherhood wishes you creative success!

Step by step work.
1. We circle the tree and cut it out (first we cut it out along the contour, then we put it on the table, placing the board, cut out the branches, I use nail scissors)

2. We make 2 cuts in the tree trunk: one from above, the other from below and connect.

3. Fold a sheet of colored paper in half (to save 7 cm double strip)

4. Circle the sheet, cut it out and fold it with an accordion.

5. Cut off a straight strip from the trim sheet and twist it (for a maple leaf stick to attach to a tree)

6. We put the twisted strip in the middle of the maple leaf folded into an accordion and glue it together to get a leaf.

7. We attach the leaves to the crown of the tree.

The work can be done collectively, if you just start origami (maple leaves). You can hang the leaves on a beautiful twig, and then put them in a vase.
To decorate the group, a beautiful tree turned out. I wish you all creative success!

September brings with it an autumn mood, but in the first weeks, instead of an Indian summer with golden leaves, it gives us only a fine drizzle and darkened greenery. Well, it's time to take matters into your own hands and decorate the house yourself with bright and joyful leaves.

Inspired by a post by designer and blogger Charlene about how she and her daughter made maple leaves, we decided to repeat the same thing in our office and change to a more suitable one for the season.

So n we needed: a dry branch, andwatercolor and regular office paper, narrow masking tape, red and yellow acrylic paint, floral tape and wire, sponge, bristle brush, and a palette to mix the paint. All of these can be found in your nearest hobby store.

The intricate shape of the maple leaf is difficult to replicate from memory, and it turned out to be a great excuse to take a walk in the park. There was no shortage of fallen green leaves and dry branches broken by the wind. By the way, if you store leaves better between sheets of paper. pressed down by a voluminous book (we remember how herbariums were made in childhood), otherwise they will wither from dry home air.

Finally, we got to work. To begin with, circled the leaves with a pencil. For the experiment, we chose two types of paper: watercolor and thin, for the printer.

Cut out future leaves along the contour.

From floristic wire (this is a thin metal vein wrapped in colored paper), “veins” were twisted to strengthen the leaf and create a petiole for it.

At first we thought that the veins could just be glued on, but that turned out to be a bad idea. Firstly, the glue refused to hold them tightly, and secondly, the bare wire looked very unnatural on the sheet. So painter's tape came into play.

The leaves are cut out, the veins are glued - it's time to mix the paints. We tried several shades, and came to the conclusion that it’s not worth it to be smart: pure red and yellow colors are enough.

The paint was applied with a sponge: it can quickly cover the entire sheet with paint and make beautiful spots on it. In addition, a child can easily handle it if you do this project together. The sponge can be replaced with a bristle brush, but then it is worth applying the paint not with smearing, but with vertical movements, just like with a sponge. For greater naturalism, you can draw veins on a leaf with a thin brush and darker paint (in a maple they diverge in different directions from the petiole itself).

The watercolor paper, as it should be, behaved well and did not curl even under several thick layers of paint. The “printer” was easily twisted from moisture, so it was difficult to paint the leaves. But small leaves after drying became similar to real ones. Conclusion: for large sheets, larger (10 cm in diameter), take watercolor paper, for small ones you can get by with plain paper.

Hooray, our leaves are ready! The hardest part is attaching them to the branch. We tried to wind them with a wire stem, and attach them with masking tape, and to hide the docking place, we used floral tape. It is wrinkled wax paper, slightly sticky and reminiscent of the color and texture of the surface of a branch or stem. Our brown tape turned out to be exactly the same color as the branch, and so sticky that small leaves could be tied directly with it.
