Headband for a little girl. How to sew a headband for a girl from an old T-shirt

Christmas

Girls, hello!
Our summer is in full swing, today it was +31 in the shade.
And I have another portion of useful things for you.
In such heat to have long hair It’s kind of hard, I speak from my own experience, I myself have very thick and long hair, so the hair doesn’t get in the way and warm fur coat didn’t seem so, I suggest creating a headband for yourself.
The ideas are quite popular, and the principle of creation is very easy, you can make it in literally 10 minutes.

Quite recently, at a sewing course, we sewed aprons, and we had to sew scarves to go with them, but ordinary scarves are somehow not in trend now, so many decided to make their own headbands.
They can be made different ways, with rounded tips or sharp ones, with or without frame wire, so that the seam is inside or outside. In general, there are a lot of variations, choose the one you like best! I have collected 7 options for hairbands for you at once.

For production we will need:
Fabric, I have 100% cotton, but you can take another one.
Approximately 105 cm long, 10 cm wide. finished form I got 102 cm length and 4 cm width. Although these sizes are approximate and you can change them at your discretion.
These sizes are suitable for tying a headband on a bow; if you plan to insert frame wire, then the length will be needed less. Measure the circumference of your head and add the required length of the ends, and a couple of centimeters for allowances.
Everything can be cut out.
The width is folded in half, the corners are folded on both sides and cut off. You can flash it with wrong side leaving a hole to turn inside out and then sew it up with hidden stitches. Or iron the allowances inward and stitch with front side 0.1 - 0.2 mm from the edge.

Second option
It is done in the same way as the first one, only the corners are made rounded.

The third method is similar, only the corners are made into an acute triangle.

Fourth method
Better made from knitwear
A rectangle is cut out in length slightly less than the girth of the head, if the fabric stretches well, then 1/3 or 1/4 of the head girth can be removed, if not, then a couple of centimeters and without allowances, in general it depends on the stretchability of the knitwear. To check, you should apply the fabric to your head and pull it around the circumference and feel how comfortable it is, choose the width at your discretion.
Decided on the sizes and cut them.
You also need to cut a rectangle for the bow; the width can be the same as the headband, and the length is about 1/3 of the length of the headband in two layers.

And a small rectangle or square to hold the bow and headband together.

And the fifth idea, bandage with wide bow which is tied.

Knitted headband

And the last seventh and very interesting intricate idea for a headband made from knitted stripes.
The length of the strips again needs to be taken based on the stretchability of the knitwear. In principle, it’s easy to remove the extra length, but if there’s not enough length, it’s very difficult to add, so it’s better to take a little more and eat less.
Otherwise, the whole process is easier to watch and see than to describe and read)

And that's all for me!
Wish you have a great day and creative inspiration)))

We sew a headband for a girl with our own hands with a flower

The classic model, decorated with a flower, is liked by absolutely everyone and is one of the most popular.

Materials needed: glue gun, lace, scissors, piece of felt, wide elastic band or elastic lace (for older beauties, an ordinary plastic headband is an option), a cute button or bead.

  1. Cut a circle out of felt and glue the gathered lace onto it. This should be done in a spiral, moving from the outside to the inside.
  2. Glue a bead or button into the middle of the flower, and glue it, in turn, onto a base made of a rim or elastic band. Ready!

We crochet an original headband for the baby for the summer

There's nothing better than a summer crochet headband. The girls look cute and love to show off in them. Four-ply worsted, cotton or linen yarn, as well as a hook no more than 5 mm in size.

Dial a chain air loops required length, but their number must be strictly a multiple of 4. Add three more lifting stitches. Insert the needle into the third loop from the hook and make three double crochets in one stitch.

Having reached the end of the row, turn the knitting over and again follow the pattern from top to bottom. By tying a chain of air loops in a circle, you create a semblance of circular knitting. And the result is light floral motifs.

When you get to the beginning of the row, make one stitch up and the other down.

Using a single crochet stitch, connect the loops, secure the yarn, leaving working thread more authentic. Carefully bring the ends of the bandage together. Before wearing, it is better to rinse under running water warm water. If everything was done correctly, the result should look like in the photo:

Fabric headband:

This fabric headband looks very original and can be easily decorated with a variety of decorative accessories.

Materials: scissors, elastic band for the head (head diameter minus 3 cm), sewing machine, satin fabric (approximate size - 30x10 cm), a small piece of fleece, sealant (non-woven fabric, for example), accessories.

  1. Sew the non-woven and satin strips together from the inside out, and overlay the edges. Don't touch one of them.
  2. Turn over the unstitched edge and sew with a blind seam.
  3. Form folds and stitch in the center using a machine.
  4. Sew the strip to the elastic, and fasten the fleece on the inside (so that nothing rubs).
  5. Decorate. All!

How to knit a stylish headband for beginner needlewomen

Interesting and warm accessory knitted, will not leave any little beauty indifferent.

Manufacturing materials: knitting needles No. 4, Nord yarn (48% wool, 52% acrylic) 116 m/100g.

Execution scheme:

Cast on 24 stitches and knit like an elastic band, alternating two knit stitches with two purl stitches. Knit up to 22 cm. Divide the work in half, 12 loops each, and knit one part left side, then right. Knit 6 cm in this way. Now overlap (from the wrong side according to the pattern):

Then he makes the next 22 cm like an elastic band. Fasten it, it's best to do it knitted seam without closing the loops.

Headband with bow:

A headband with a bow will make the little angel even more attractive. Make the base for the bandage using any of the above methods you like, but you should look at the decor in more detail.

First of all, find the ribbon. And it’s better not plastic, but fabric. You can pick a good one color scheme under the bandage, or you can play with contrasts. Bows are also different. The easiest one is tied like a regular lace on a sneaker, but the more complicated one goes like a gift packaging. When you make it, leave extra centimeters at the ribbon so that you can later wrap it around the center and hide the tails. The bow is sewn or glued, there is no difference.

There is a more interesting option. Take one end of the ribbon and make a 5 cm loop. And then another one on the opposite side. Form loops until you are satisfied with the airiness of the bow. Then secure the middle with stitches and hide the ends.

And another unusual functional model called “Zen”. With it everything is almost the same as with a bandage made of fabric materials. The highlight is that you insert a wire inside the base, and now the headband bends in any direction, sits more firmly on the head, and with the help of it you can even make a small bump, or simply tie it with a bow as an additional decoration.

How to create a headband with felt roses

Now we'll figure it out making a felt headband. Let's choose a headband as a base light color, thin, which at the same time stretches perfectly.

How to sew a solokh headband for your hair with your own hands

Now we'll figure it out how to make a solokha with your own hands. Using a ruler, measure a strip of material 13 centimeters wide and 40 centimeters long. Let's cut out this strip and immediately cut out a second one of the same kind. Then we need to cut it out of cardboard good preparation. Let's fold our strips along the inside out. And fold the cardboard template on top. Let's put it on the fold. To make it easier, iron the strips.

Let's transfer it to fabric. We don’t draw the bottom, but continue to retreat five mm from the edge. We only need the template to create the corners for the headband.

Then we sew the piece from the corner to the bottom. There is no need to sew the bottom, we will turn everything inside out through it.

We do the same actions with the second part..

Then use a ruler to measure the third piece on the fabric. This will be a regular strip thirteen centimeters wide and 20 centimeters long.

Fold the strip lengthwise. And we sew one long edge.

Let's turn everything out. When turning, you need to completely straighten the corners. We have made all three parts of our dressing. Now all that remains is to connect them. The small part will be located in the center, and the two voluminous ones will be located at the edges. Next, cut a rubber band 10 centimeters long. And insert an elastic band into our small detail. Let's pull out one end a little. You should take the elastic band wider. Let's take one of our long strips with a narrowed end and turn it in a little (5 mm). Let's insert our blank with an elastic band into this part. And we flash it. This is how we fix one side of the elastic. Let's pull out the second end of the elastic a little.

Today I will show you how to sew a headband in 30 minutes. After sewing it, I realized how comfortable and practical this headdress is. How did I ever manage without her? After all, it is suitable not only for summer, but also for warm autumn, when it’s still hot in the hat and it’s advisable to cover your ears. I’m also terribly lazy in terms of figuring out how to beautifully tie a scarf on my head, but with this headband I don’t need to waste time, everything has already been thought of and I just put it on my head and voila, an instant beauty)!

To sew a headband, you don’t have to buy fabric; look in your closets, you might have scraps of fabric lying around. For example, I took mine neckerchief, which I don’t wear, but now it has found its use.

What did I need to sew a headband?

  • cotton or viscose fabric - 30 cm.
  • elastic band wide 3 cm - 14.5 cm.
  • thread in color 1 spool
  • sewing tool - scissors, tape measure, safety pin

How to sew a headband step by step

The headband consists of three parts - these are two upper parts that cross each other and a lower part with an elastic band.

1. I cut out the upper parts of the bandage - two rectangles with sides 27*50 cm.

2. I fold the parts in half one by one and sew them on sewing machine.

3. I iron it at a low temperature so that the seam is in the middle of the parts.

4. I cut out the bottom part of the bandage for the elastic band.

5. I sew the bottom piece along side seam, retreating from the edge by the width of the foot. To turn the part out, I hook it to one edge safety pin and I run it along the entire length from the inside to the other end. I iron it.

6. I push the elastic band inside using the same pin.

7. I fix the elastic band inside. To do this, I sew it on a sewing machine to the fabric on both sides.

This is what should happen in the end. Using an elastic band, the headband will fit any head circumference.

8. I tie the upper parts of the bandage together as shown in the photo.

9. I place counter folds at the ends of the upper parts of the bandage.

So that the width of the upper parts with folded folds is equal to the width of the lower part with elastic.

10. I place the piece with the elastic on one of the top pieces of the bandage, so that the seam on the top piece is at the bottom. I sew them together.

Then I do the same with the second top piece.
