Prices for wind turbines from Russian manufacturers are much lower than for German and Indian products. The cheapest equipment you can buy is made in China. However, in this situation, the issue of quality becomes controversial due to the mass serial production of wind turbines in China.

Where to buy Russian-made wind turbines?

Before purchasing a product, you must carefully read its technical characteristics, basic parameters and decide on its manufacturer.

The terms of delivery are important, as well as the size of its cost.

You can buy wind generators:

  1. In specialized stores, directly from the manufacturer of the goods.
  2. In the shops of distributors and dealers of the manufacturer of the selected wind turbine model.
  3. Through the Internet:
    • on the portal of goods and services of Russia tiu.ru;
    • on the business portal satom.ru;
    • on specialized websites of manufacturers, as well as their distributors and dealers.

Application in everyday life

In everyday life, wind turbines are used both as the main power supply of the facility, and as a backup.

Depending on the power, the equipment used in everyday life is classified into:

  • installations with a power of less than one kilowatt, belonging to the "micro" category and used on yachts, farms, for supplying water;
  • equipment from one to one hundred kilowatts, belonging to the category of small wind power and used for various domestic purposes, capable of operating offline without being connected to a general-purpose power grid.

In everyday life, the use of small autonomous wind generators is not recommended due to the high cost of the inverter and batteries, the total price of which makes up a large part of the cost of the entire installation. Basically, for domestic purposes, it is specialized products with a capacity of one to one hundred kilowatts that are applicable.

Advantages of wind turbines

  • environmental friendliness of equipment;
  • no need to use raw materials;
  • no need for personal participation in the process;
  • getting free electricity, especially during those times of the year when there is a high need for more use of it;
  • possibility of combination with other energy sources.

Disadvantages of wind turbines

  • dependence of equipment performance on wind speed;
  • cannot be an independent source of energy in non-windy places;
  • creating noise at work.

Wind turbines"GRTS-Vertical" are among the most efficient in the world. They are designed, manufactured and tested in various climatic conditions by a group of Russian and American scientists.

LLC "GRTS-Vertical" develops wind power plants (wind turbines) since 1991 on the basis of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State Rocket Center" (Design Bureau named after Academician V.P. Makeev), Miass, Chelyabinsk Region and Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Kumertau Aviation Enterprise", Kumertau. During this time, various designs of wind turbines have been investigated. Since 2004, the development of LLC "GRTS-Vertical" in the field wind energy, creation wind-hydrogen complexes, water treatment plants and much more are funded by the Berkeley National Laboratory (USA) under the auspices of the US Department of Energy, International Funds, the Government of the Russian Federation and the Russian Rocket and Space Agency.

WIND POWER PLANTS

As a result of the joint work of Russian and American scientists, the most optimal form was discovered blades. The ratio of the chord and the width of the blade received patents in Russia and the United States. The original shape of the rotor, together with the optimal profile of the blades, gives a real efficiency of up to 38% (ideal 42%) in any (!) wind direction.

The blades of installations with a power of more than 30 kW are equipped with special flaps, which, according to experts in the field of aerodynamics, make it possible to further increase the efficiency factor (ideally up to 62%).

The top of scientific and technical developments was the patented wind rotor (wind wheel) wind power plant. Its advantages include self-promotion at 3.5 m/s, smooth operation due to the displacement of the upper blades relative to the lower ones by 60 degrees, and the optimal angle of attack of the blades. One of the main advantages of the rotor is that this design "catches" gusts of wind. Those. when measuring an anemometer, the average wind speed can be 3 m / s, and the rotor wind turbine will spin as if the wind speed is 6 m/s.

The rotation speed of the wind turbine upon reaching 180 revolutions per second with a further increase in the wind is stabilized by aerodynamic brakes. Thanks to this, the wind turbine does not go "peddling". For operation in cold conditions, for example, in the regions of the Far North, the wind turbine blades are equipped with a special carbon fiber film that prevents icing blade surfaces. The hub contains a specially designed bearing system to minimize drag losses.

Generator The wind turbine is available in several modifications and is a low-speed, highly efficient electric machine. Regulator generator provides 24, 48 or 96 VDC output.

As inverter almost any device that converts direct current 24, 48, 96 V into alternating current with a voltage of 220V / 50Hz can be used. However, it must be remembered that, as a rule, inexpensive inverters at the output, they give out a current not of a sinusoidal, but of a rectangular shape, which does not always have a good effect on some sensitive electronic devices (quenching capacitors in gas burner systems, etc.). Therefore, it is better to buy inverter that exactly matches the characteristics of your instruments. To do this, it is better to consult a specialist or purchase proven inverters from the manufacturer or supplier of wind turbines.

As batteries for wind turbines produced by "GRTS-Vertical" LLC, ordinary automobile (12V) are used. inverter can also be used purchased or special execution.

Installation The wind turbine is simple and can be produced by the buyer if there is certain knowledge in the field of installation of mechanical and electrical products (assembly of the wind turbine on the mast, pulling and connecting electrical wiring, start-up).

Installation wind rotor and its maintenance is carried out on the ground. The mast consists of two parts connected by a hinge. The lower part is fixed and stands upright. For assembly or maintenance, the upper part carrying the wind rotor is tilted. In this case, the wind rotor is almost on the ground, where installation, dismantling or maintenance is carried out.
Assembly possible wind turbines using a special device and gradually lifting the wind turbine mounted in steps upwards.
Can be assembled with cranes, forklifts, etc.

However, one must not forget that wind turbine is a complex machine with high voltage outputs, therefore we recommend that installation, maintenance and dismantling be carried out by specially trained specialists in order to avoid injury.

ADDITIONAL USEFUL EQUIPMENT

The purpose of SRC-Vertical is to create a complex wind-water-hydrogen system for uninterrupted power supply and production of water, hydrogen and oxygen.

The wind turbine is a power source for additional equipment.

Water treatment plant serves to supply water suitable for drinking and serving as the feedstock for the hydrogen plant.

The hydrogen plant is used to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen, with the subsequent use of hydrogen for two purposes:
- a source of electricity generation during periods of calm and inactivity wind turbines
- fuel for the car and other units

The developments of SRC-Vertical cover a wide range of unique useful household and industrial equipment.

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

The wind turbine has 24, 48 or 96 volts DC at the output of the electronic regulator. This voltage can be used to heat buildings, power water pumps, lighting, etc.

However, wind turbines are mainly used by ordinary consumers using a voltage of 220 volts alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz. To do this, an appropriate conversion device must be connected to the output of the electronic regulator.

The wind turbine can work in conjunction with a number of other devices:

  • inverter 24V - 220V / 50Hz, converting direct voltage into alternating voltage,
  • batteries used to provide uninterrupted power supply in calm weather
  • diesel or gasoline generator to increase peak power supply or secure uninterruptible power supply based on batteries.

The circuit diagram of the interaction of wind turbines and various devices can be improved endlessly.

The basic scheme includes a wind turbine, an inverter, batteries, a diesel generator.

The scheme can use double conversion from the diesel generator and the network (alternating - direct - alternating current) to supply uninterrupted power to the consumer. In this case, the consumer does not feel even the slightest power fluctuations when switching from one power source to another (for example, from a wind turbine to a diesel generator, etc.).

Inverters and batteries.

In the presence of wind, the wind rotor, consisting of blades fixed between the rings, rotates and sets in motion a generator, which, using an electronic regulator, generates a direct electric current with a voltage of 48 volts. Further, the direct current is converted into alternating current with a voltage of 220V / 50Hz using an inverter and goes directly to the consumer.

Batteries are usually connected in parallel with the generator output cable through a charge control device and feed the inverter in the event of a lack of wind. The inverter output is connected to the terminals from which the internal wiring should go through the consumer's premises.

A wind power plant (WPP) starts (self-spins) at wind gusts of 3.5 meters per second (at this time, the anemometer may show a lower average wind speed). Energy production starts at a wind speed of 4 m/s.

How many batteries are needed for uninterrupted power supply?
Of course, it is better to entrust this calculation to a qualified specialist. However, approximate figures can be estimated independently.
Let's say a wind turbine is used with a 24V DC output. In this case, 12-volt batteries are connected in parallel to the wind turbine output, two in series.

Let's say the peak energy consumption of an average apartment or house is 3 kW. This peak continues for 1 hour in the morning and 2 hours in the evening.
During peak demand, the load draws 3000W / 24V = 125A current.
This means that to maintain power for 2 hours, it is necessary to have 125A x 2 hours = 250A-hours capacity.
For example, in the store you can buy rechargeable batteries for 75A-hours. Then, to cover the peak power supply, 250A-hours / 75A-hours = 3.3 sets of batteries (2 batteries connected in series) are needed.

However, the battery should not be used more than 80%. Therefore, the actual number of batteries should be 3.3AKB x / 0.8 = 4.1AKB.
The efficiency (efficiency) of the inverter is usually 85%. part of the energy will go to losses in this device. That. taking into account these losses, it is necessary to have 4.1AKB / 0.85 = 5AKB.
That. for uninterrupted power supply of this consumer, a set of 5 x 2 = 10 batteries is required.
There is no need to be afraid of this amount of batteries. Firstly, it's small money - about 10 thousand rubles, $ 380 or 300 Euros - and you never have to pay for electricity! Secondly, the volume is not so big, especially when it comes to a country house. And, finally, there are large expensive batteries, which in the amount of 1-2 pcs. can replace all 12 conventional car batteries. Based on these calculations, you can independently calculate the required number of batteries in accordance with peak consumption specific to a particular home or office.

During the minimum consumption (day and night) in the presence of wind, the wind turbine will charge the batteries. The charging speed of the batteries depends on the power generated by the wind turbine, and therefore on the strength of the wind.
It can be easily calculated that WEU-3 at a wind speed of 6 m/s will produce 0.7 kW/h, or 0.7 kW x 12 hours = 8.4 kW per day and the same amount per night, which is enough for morning and evening peak consumption.

Nevertheless, it is clear that miracles do not happen and there are windless days anywhere on the globe. Of course, it is highly uneconomical to purchase a larger wind turbine or more batteries for several days a year. For most people, the simplest solution is to use energy sparingly on those days. And for those who would not like to save money, it is necessary to find out the average annual duration of the maximum number of calm days and calculate the required number of batteries.

For example, the maximum period of windless days per year in a particular region is 5 days in summer (with a consumption of 10 kWh per day) and 3 days in winter (with a consumption of 20 kWh per day). Of course, it is necessary to take the winter period for calculations, because. power consumption is higher. That. 3 days x 20 kWh per day = 60 kWh. In order to get 60 kWh, you need to have 60.000 watts / 24 volts = 2500 amp-hours in stock. However, the battery should not be used more than 80%. Therefore, the actual supply of electricity should be 2500 Ah / 0.8 = 3125 Ah. The efficiency (efficiency) of the inverter is usually 85%. part of the energy will go to losses in this device. That. initially you need to have 3125 Ah / 0.85 = 3680 Ah. A typical average car battery has a capacity of 75 amp-hours. This means you need to have 3680 Ah / 75 Ah = 50 battery packs (or 100 batteries). As can be seen from the calculations, although such a number of batteries will solve the problem of energy supply, it will require a larger wind turbine to charge the batteries before the peak of consumption. And this translates into serious financial costs. So isn't it better to live in economical mode for only 3-5 days a year?

It should be noted that batteries have the property of residual capacity. That is, for example, using a 75 A / h battery, you can turn on a 1 kW electric stove for 40 minutes, after which the inverter will turn off. If you reduce the load to 500 W (connect, for example, a TV) - you can get the same amount of energy! Then you can connect a 300 W drill, and then a 130 W spray gun, then a 60 W soldering iron, and finally a 30 W light bulb. But even in this case, it is impossible to "scoop out" more than 80% of the maximum battery capacity. "Bailing out" 100% is not recommended, because the battery life in this case is reduced. It does not follow at all from the above example that these (and other) loads cannot be turned on all at once. It's just that the amount of time that all appliances will work at the same time will be less.

It is recommended to purchase completely maintenance-free batteries. And the point here is not only that there is no need to periodically check the electrolyte and add distilled water (it is recommended to add distilled water to serviced batteries at least once a month, in a low-maintenance battery, plugs are saved to control the electrolyte level and add water, however, level control and its it is enough to carry out the adjustment once a year). Widespread acid batteries, made according to classical technology, cause a lot of trouble and have a harmful effect on people and equipment. They are the cheapest, but require additional costs for their maintenance, special premises and staff. The most convenient and safe of acid batteries (especially for indoor use) are completely maintenance-free sealed batteries.
MASTS

The mast for the wind turbine is selected based on geographical conditions. For example, a wind turbine can be located without a mast on a short rack or truss on the roof of a house.

The mast can be located in a separate place on a mast with a height of 12, 16, 20 or more meters, at the request of the consumer.
Wind turbines can be mounted on masts above and below bridges and other solid structures.

Instead of a mast, existing elements of metal structures and even cellular repeater masts can be used. In this case, the wind turbine design is reversible and undergoes some changes, which does not affect the power but slightly increases the price. Development and serial production of small and medium wind power plants (wind turbines) with a capacity of 1 ... 100 kW, as well as systems and complexes, including autonomous water treatment systems, developed on the basis of water treatment plants of nuclear submarines, hydrogen uninterruptible power supply systems based on cryogenic technologies and other unique units.

Delivery, installation and maintenance of installations, systems and complexes based on wind turbines is carried out by "GRTS-Vertical" or its dealers.
