I love winter holidays because they are filled with holidays. But that's probably why they go so fast.
This year, as usual, the holidays began with a school Christmas tree. On this day, after round dances and Santa Claus, my class and I arranged our own concert with gifts. I was leading. At first I was very worried, but then I liked to lead the program.
At home, we decorated a Christmas tree and decorated all the rooms with tinsel and dwarf figurines.
On the evening of December 31, my grandparents came to visit us. We celebrated the New Year together, went outside, launched rockets and burned Bengal candles. In the morning Santa Claus brought us gifts under the Christmas tree.
And then the holidays just flew by. My brother and I watched cartoons, played computer games, went to rehearsals. On January 7th we performed at the Christmas concert.

How I Spent My winter holidays

So the New Year holidays are over. A lot of interesting things happened during this period. First, let me tell you about how I met the New Year.

On December 30, my dad and I went for the Christmas tree. They chose for a very long time, and finally, they chose a fluffy pine tree of not great stature. When they came home, dad immediately put it on a table in the corner of the hall. I began to decorate the Christmas tree with a luminous garland, beautiful Christmas decorations and white flowing rain. By the time I finished decorating the Christmas tree and decorated the hall with my room, my mother came home from work. And I began to help her prepare different dishes for tomorrow's New Year's table.

I myself celebrated the New Year in my home circle: with my mother, father and sister. We listened to the president's New Year's greetings, the clock struck 12 and I made a wish that should come true this year. Santa Claus brought me a soccer ball under the Christmas tree, a book with Arthur Conan Doyle's story "The Hound of the Baskervilles", beautiful notebooks and a lot of sweets. In general, everything that I wanted. And the next day we went to visit my grandparents - congratulated them on the New Year, and then went to a performance near the Christmas tree on the theater square. Ded Moroz and Snegurochka contests were organized there, we danced with them, sang songs. I told the poem to Santa Claus and he gave me a photo album.

On other days I walked in the yard with my friends. We made a snowman, played snowballs and sledded down the hill. I also went to the skating rink with my parents. Although I am not very good at skating and was there for the first time, I really liked it and I will go again with pleasure when mom and dad let me.

Christmas has come. There was a beautiful snowball outside the window, I was in a festive mood. We gathered with the whole family to visit the godparents, since my godparents do not live in our city. They had many guests, and we had a good time: we talked, joked, laughed and even danced. I really liked watching my mother and my older sister tell fortunes on the night before Christmas.

On the Old New Year, my mother's brother and son came to visit us. We all went for a walk around the city together. They showed the sights of our city, visited the theater and were in the circus. And on the 14th, they dressed up in costumes and went to sow their neighbors and relatives. This day I remember the most. We went from house to house, wishing people happiness, health, well-being, joy, success in the New Year, even passers-by on the street. Everyone's mood immediately lifted. We were thanked and we earned a whole bag of sweets, fruits and money.

So, the New Year and Christmas holidays flew by quickly, it's time to prepare for the new academic semester. I repeated the material covered in literature, mathematics and the Russian language. Mom checked the exercises that I did, and I told dad the verses that I had learned. I started reading The Hound of the Baskervilles. My parents promised me a trip to the Black Sea in the summer if I finish this school year perfectly. I will try very hard, because I really want to go to the sea, swim and sunbathe under the warm sun.

A lot of snow fell just before the New Year, which gave the winter, especially, a fabulous look. We celebrated the New Year at home with the whole family. And although I no longer believe in fairy tales, I wanted some kind of miracle or magic. And so it happened!

Rather, it was a strange accident. On that day, when, on the eve of the holiday, my mother was busy in the kitchen for a long time, and my father and I were decorating the Christmas tree, the doorbell suddenly rang. We were waiting for my grandparents, and so I ran to open the door. She looked through the peephole and couldn't believe her eyes. Outside the door stood a real Santa Claus in a red coat and with a huge beard, and next to it was the Snow Maiden with a blond braid. Why did I immediately think the real one, because the last time it was an unsuccessfully disguised dad. Everything turned out to be easier than it could have been. Father Frost and the Snow Maiden turned out to be actors who got the wrong apartment, but I still got the magic candy.

The first days of the winter holidays in January turned out to be sunny and very frosty. These days it was great to walk outside and play various winter fun games. True, it was not possible to make a snowman, because in such frosts the snow turned out to be free-flowing and not at all sticky. After such fun walks, it was especially nice to be at home, where my mother's hot dinner was waiting for me. And in the evenings, my dad and I read books and played board games, which turned out to be much more interesting than a computer.

On one of the days of the winter holidays, the whole family visited the circus. To be honest, I didn’t really like it, because I felt sorry for the animals. On another day, together with my mother, we went to the theater for a performance for schoolchildren, it turned out to be very interesting and not boring at all. This is how I spent my winter holidays, which, although not as long as summer ones, are rich and interesting. So now it remains to be patient and wait for spring and summer.

How I Spent My winter holidays

Winter is a very good season. On the street, everything is white-white, nature seemed to freeze in anticipation of a miracle. A miracle is New Year's Eve! Guests came to our house to celebrate the New Year. It was fun! After the clock struck 12, I went outside with my friend. We played snowballs, went downhill and lit sparklers. Coming home, my friend and I were like snowmen. We didn't sleep until morning and had fun all the time. The next day the guests left, but the festive mood remained.
I really liked the winter holidays, I had a good time: I walked a lot on the street, skated, went to visit my grandmother. But I didn't just play and have fun. During the holidays, I did karate and passed the exam for 6 kyu, now I have a green belt, I also went to the Republican competitions, which were held in the village of Raevka. And I also went to study English at the Linguistic Academy.

How I Spent My winter holidays

It was winter, the quarter was over, and it was time to rest. The long winter holidays have begun. I love winter very much, and it is doubly fun to relax in this month. I spent my holidays well, but I didn’t forget about the new year either. I celebrated the new year very well, there were many beautiful fireworks. We have a beautiful tree in our house.
A lot of snow fell, everything turned white and white. Despite such cold weather, I enjoyed skiing and walking with friends. Despite my rest, I did all my homework, but I was not overloaded with it. These holidays were the most wonderful!
