Once they see a woven rowan from beads, many begin to look for a master class on how to make it. If you are planning to weave a rowan tree, then first you need to be patient. Anyone can make a woven rowan from beads using step-by-step instructions. However, making crafts from beads such as rowan wood is a painstaking and creative task. Therefore, when starting, be prepared for the fact that making the tree will take you several days.
We will tell you in this article how to weave a rowan tree from beads and how to then assemble a rowan tree.
To make rowan we will need:
The first stage of making rowan is to work with beads and wire.
Making winter rowan from beads with your own hands is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. We offer you a pattern for weaving winter rowan from beads, thanks to which the work of weaving will turn into an exciting activity.
To make winter rowan we will need:
Today you will learn how to make rowan with your own hands. We will share with you a pattern for weaving rowan berries from beads, which is equipped with step-by-step photos and a description of the weaving process. Rowan - Another wonderful beaded tree that you can make with your own hands - a rowan with beautiful clusters of berries.
The green foliage and ripe red clusters of this plant, according to beliefs, protect people from other people's envy and unpleasant thoughts.
So, let's start weaving our tree from beads.
It all starts with the formation of foliage.
We make 9 leaves and collect them into a separate branch. First we take one of them, and screw the rest to it on both sides. As a result, you will get a strong, fairly dense branch with leaves.
To form a whole tree you will need at least 14 of these large elements. Although, if you plan to make the product more magnificent, the quantity can be increased.
Next we begin the formation of rowan bunches. To do this, we string our prepared beads onto a small piece of wire, send it some distance from the end of the wire, and form a twist of several turns right under it.
We place the next bead not far from the first twist, and again form several turns directly under it. And so on until you have a fluffy bunch of berries in your hands. There should be 8 of them in total. We form 2 more such clusters of 8 pieces, and combine them all into one.
For our tree, 7 such elements are quite enough.
To decorate the wire, we wrap all our trunks with thread of a suitable color. You can simplify your work and use floral tape instead.
The finished elements are assembled into a tree. Moreover, for two leaves - one bunch of rowan.
In order to put it all together, we take a thick wire and begin to wind our blanks with bunches to it in the order shown in the photographs.
A schematic diagram of the assembly process can be seen in the previous article; it clearly shows how it is necessary to connect the branches of any tree.
In the end, all you have to do is place the finished tree in the chosen pot and secure it with soil, gravel or any other material.
Beads are an amazing material. You can use it to create paintings, flowers, animal figures and, of course, trees. See how you can make a rowan from beads. The product turns out to be very realistic. Weaving rowan beads is a fascinating and fairly simple process. It will bring pleasure to both beginners and bead weavers. Your beaded rowan tree, the master class for which I present, will turn out just like the real thing.
To weave rowan from beads we will need:
Beads of two colors: green and orange-red. Bead size No. 10 (Czech) or No. 12 (Chinese)
Wire with a diameter of 0.3 mm and thicker wire (for forming a barrel)
Masking tape or thread - this will need to be wrapped around the barrel
Brown acrylic paints
Alabaster
Let's start weaving rowan from beads from bunches. One bunch of rowan consists of five small bunches.
Take 33 cm of wire and string 3 red beads onto it. Place the beads 5 cm from the edge of the wire and twist both ends of the wire under the beads by about 1 cm.
In total, you need to make 10 such twists on the wire. Then we twist the ends of the wires together. It turned out to be a small bunch.
We make 5 bunches of these.
Now from these five small bunches you need to make a bunch of rowan berries from beads. To do this, take bunches - 5 pieces and twist them together. You will get a bunch of rowan berries.
Only 11 bunches need to be woven.
Beaded rowan leaves
The leaves are woven using a parallel weaving technique; each row will have a certain number of beads.
Row 1: Take a 25 cm wire and string one bead onto it. Now we pass either end of the wire in the opposite direction through this bead and tighten it.
Row 2: take two beads and string them onto either end of the wire. Now take the other end of the wire and pass it in the opposite direction through these two beads. Tighten the ends.
Row 3: take three beads and string them onto either end of the wire. Now take the other end of the wire and pass it in the opposite direction through these three beads. Tighten the ends of the wire.
In the 4th and 5th row: do the same for three beads.
Row 6: from this row the leaf is woven in descending order. You need to make two beads in this row.
Row 7: This row is the final one. We make one bead in it. We twist the ends of the wire together.
You need to weave about 200 of these leaves.
Now from these small leaves you need to make large rowan leaves from beads. To begin, take three leaves and twist them together.
Next, take another leaf and wrap it around these three leaves. The leaf should be placed on the left, 0.5 -0.7 cm below the first three leaves.
Next to the right side we attach another leaf.
Below these leaves we wrap two more leaves and then two more. In total, the large leaf consists of 9 small leaves.
Assembling rowan from beads
Let's start assembling rowan from beads from its branches. To begin with, take one bunch and one large leaf. We wrap the bunch to the leaf.
Next, we attach another leaf and a second bunch.
Immediately after the second bunch we attach the third rowan leaf. The result was a rowan branch. We collect such branches from all the leaves and clusters for rowan.
When all the branches have been collected, we begin to form a tree. We take a thick wire and attach one branch to its edge - it will be the central one.
Further in a circle, slightly lower from each other, we attach the remaining branches.
For the finished rowan tree, we make a stand, plaster the trunk and cover it with paint.
Beadwork is a common decoration for houses and apartments. Using beadwork, you can create a prototype of any tree - oak, birch or palm tree. Rowan beads have bright colors and a rich color palette. Trees are woven both as whole trees and in individual clusters or branches. You can weave them from beads if it is difficult to work with very small details or you lack experience.
They consist of a set of twigs and clusters. The number of shades of green, yellow and red used determines what season the rowan beads belong to. It can be spring or summer, with different shades of green, autumn - from yellow to burgundy. The addition of white imitates winter rowan under the snow.
The first option is quite simple for beginners, and it can be mastered without a diagram. To begin with, 10 pieces of 40 cm wire are cut. 7 pieces of green beads are strung on each thread, placing them in the middle of the pieces. The ends of the wires are twisted 3-4 turns just under the beads, thereby pinching them and fixing them with a ring or oval. This is exactly what all the elements of the leaf will look like.
To form the rest, 7 beads are strung on each end and scrolled. The procedure is repeated 7 more times, more or less possible. The size of the leaf depends on the number of elements. After this, another 10 pieces of 9 fragments each and 10 leaves of 11 are woven.
In the second case, the parallel weaving method is used. One bead is placed on a piece of thin wire and placed in the middle. 2 more are put on one end and driven towards the first. The second end is passed through them in the opposite direction and clamped in a row under the first bead. And subsequent rows are also repeated with an increase or decrease by one or two pieces. The size and shape of the sheet is formed according to the diagram or as desired.
Rowan branches are collected from leaves and clusters. A detailed description of tying a bunch of rowan berries with your own hands is presented in the master class:
With the second method of formation, you can make a bunch of rowan berries with your own hands, using red beads and sequential fixation. To do this, leave about 5 cm from the edge and twist the first berry of 3 beads. With small indentations between each other, 9 more pieces are created. After this, randomly twisting the berries, a bunch is formed.
A more labor-intensive method of rowan beading in the master class is performed as follows. 15 beads are strung on a thread, and each one is twisted separately by 3-4 turns. A distance of about 5 mm is left between them. Then an inflorescence is formed. Their number depends on the desired size of the bunch.
Several leaves with 7 fragments and a couple of small clusters in 2-3 tiers are attached to the top of a thick wire. Having retreated 1.5-2 cm downwards, a sheet with 9 elements and one bunch is attached. And also 2 things are tied for 11 fragments and one bunch. The result is a full-fledged branch. You need to make 4 of them. Using the same principle, but without a rigid base, 6 branches are assembled.
Two soft ones are attached to each rigid structure. It turns out to be one big branch. There are only two such copies. One soft structure is attached to the remaining two. Each branch is wrapped with brown thread and generously coated with PVA glue. After drying, two branches with three leaves are twisted together. The remaining two are screwed to them one by one.
The formed trunk is wrapped with fabric-based electrical tape. The ends remaining below are straightened out in the form of roots. The entire surface with electrical tape is once again wrapped with thread and coated with glue. After drying, the rowan can be “planted” in a pot or arrange any other decorative option.
The cold winter season does not have bright, saturated colors, and red berries stand out significantly against a white background. At home, a piece of such contrast can be a rowan tree under the snow made of beads, which you can make with your own hands. To do this you will need the following materials:
The red bead is placed on a thin wire 25 cm long and scrolled 10 times, obtaining a distance of about 1 cm. In this way, a bunch of 7, 9 or 11 beads is formed and the more there are, the more voluminous the product.
Berries can be made from beads; if they are large, then they are taken one at a time, small ones are woven in several pieces at once. Winter beauty consists of 24 clusters.
To form “snow” you need to string 8 white or silver beads, drive them into the middle and twist the wire several times. At each end, twist one more element, and then all together. The “snowball” is placed above the bunch and they are twisted together.
4 clusters are attached to 6 pieces of thick wire. Having connected them into a barrel, they are wound with threads and glue is applied. After drying, the tree is placed in the chosen shape and filled with alabaster diluted in water. The container is pre-lubricated with a small amount of sunflower oil. After drying, coat the trunk and branches with a thin brush with a solution of PVA glue, water and alabaster.
Brown paint is used to paint areas that are “not covered by snow.” The remaining “winter” areas are coated with white paint and sprinkled with glitter. The top of the base is also painted white, complemented with silver and red beads and sprinkled with glitter. Rowan is ready.
A DIY beaded rowan tree can be a wonderful decoration for any apartment or house. This wonderful tree attracts the attention of craftswomen with its unusual bright beauty and rich color palette.
As they say: “fantasy has no betrayal.” For beading, you can choose a prototype of any tree - oak or palm tree.
Let's start our master class by preparing all the materials necessary for work:
We will start our master class by studying the pattern of weaving twigs. There are several weaving methods:
This method is perhaps the simplest and you don’t even need a diagram for it. This is what we will use to create the branches.
First you will need to cut 10 pieces of thin wire. The length of each should be about 40 cm.
Then you will need to string 7 green beads onto each piece and place them right in the center. After this, you will need to secure the beads by turning the fittings 3-4 times.
You will need to cut 20 pieces (40-45 cm) and make 9 of the same leaves on them. And then you will need wire branches 45-50 cm long, on which you will make 11 leaves.
To create leaves, you can also use another weaving pattern:
First you will need to put 1 bead on the main material and place it in the center. Then you will have to pass one end on the right side through 2 beads and the other end on the left side through the same beads.
This scheme allows you to independently adjust the size of the leaf. For example, you can make it from 9 beads:
You can also use multi-colored beads and then you will get an autumn rowan:
Having made the required number of branches, we will have to weave rowan bunches. Our master class will tell you about different weaving methods:
You can choose the weaving method that is most convenient for you. And our master class will help you assemble a beautiful tree from bunches and branches.
At the next stage, our master class will explain to you how to “plant” a tree in a pot:
The cold winter season, as a rule, is devoid of bright, rich colors, and that is why rich red berries look so beautiful under a layer of snow. They seem to be specially created to amaze the imagination and attract attention. Let's try to weave with our own hands one of the wonders of nature - winter rowan.
Before we begin, let's first prepare all the materials that may be useful to us:
Let's get started:
Here's a rowan tree made from beads, or rather a real winter beauty, we got:
The photo shows that we only covered the top of the base with “snow” and additionally decorated it with white and red beads. This handmade beauty will undoubtedly decorate your home and become the pearl of your collection.
In conclusion, I would like to say that you can also make chokeberry from beads. If you are interested in the pattern of its weaving, then you need to watch the video clip.
In addition, you can view various photos with the works of masters and choose from them the one you like:
Beautiful red clusters, reddening in the snow or timidly peeking through green foliage, are definitely worthy of our admiration and sincere, perhaps a little childish delight. Any beaded rowan, regardless of whether it is powdered with snow or covered with numerous greenery, is worthy of you decorating your home with it.
