How to attach iron buckles to jumpsuit straps. Master class: denim overalls "Cheerful kitten

Brother

This is my first experience in pattern modeling, so if something is incorrect, I will be glad to hear your comments.

We will build a pattern based on two patterns:

Patterns of a warm blouse size 92:

· patterns of children's sweatpants size 92: .

Part 1. Building a pattern for a denim dungaree

Step 1. We take a pattern of the back and front of a warm blouse. Bend along the dotted line on the pattern of the back. This will be the back shoulder. We finish the bent piece on the shelf. We get a new shoulder line on the shelf. We draw a new line for the neckline of the back and front, departing from the old line half the width of the collar by 1.7 cm (a collar is provided on the pattern of a warm blouse).

Step 2Define the waistline. To do this, we take a measurement of the length of the back Ds: the distance from the 7th cervical vertebra along the spine to the waist line.

· AB\u003d Ds + 1 cm. I got 22 + 1 \u003d 23 cm. We draw a horizontal line BV.

We connect the dots with a smooth curve BG.

o VG= 1.5 cm for height 80-98.

o VG= 1 cm for height 104-116.

o VG= 0.5 cm for height 122-152 cm.

Step 3 Add 3 cm to the waist line. Next, arbitrarily draw the straps, front, back, back yoke. I started drawing from the front strap. From a point D lowered the straight line vertically down (in the figure in green), retreated 3 cm, drew a strap. On the back, I drew the upper line of the strap (in the figure in blue). 3 cm receded from a straight line, drew a strap.

Step 4 Cut out the details and cut them along the red outline.

Step 5We turn over the front strap, apply it to the back strap, as shown in the figure and draw another 10 cm of the strap.

Step 6 We take pants patterns without a belt, since we have a low waistline. We adjust the length of the waist line of the front half of the pants until it reaches equality with the length of the waist line of the shelf. We lengthen the leg by the size of the cuff and expand to the bottom.

Step 7 Add 0.5 cm along the side seam for a loose fit.

Step 8 We draw the line of the entrance to the pocket, the burlap of the pocket.

Step 9 We draw a pocket on the front part and facing.

Step 10 We glue the back and back of the pants (without the belt). We adjust the length of the waist line of the back half of the pants until it reaches equality with the length of the waist line of the back. We lengthen the leg by the size of the cuff and expand to the bottom.

Step 11 Add 0.5 cm along the side seam for a loose fit. Draw the back pocket.

We translate and cut out all the details of the semi-overalls. Here is what we should get:

The patterns are ready, but before you start sewing from the main fabric, it is better to sew a trial version from some unnecessary fabric. It is enough to cut out the part of the front, the front half (one-piece with a barrel) and the back half, try on and, if necessary, make changes to the pattern.

Part 2. Sewing denim overalls

For sewing semi-overalls, I needed:

· built pattern semi-overalls size 92;

· 80 cm stretch denim 150 cm wide;

fabric for pocket burlap (I used coarse calico);

Bias inlay for processing pockets 30 cm;

Contrasting threads for stitching seams;

· 2 buckles for straps;

· 6 jeans buttons;

· 4 button anorak;

2 blocks;

· 1 thermal sticker.

Step 1. We cut out the details of the semi-overalls from the main fabric, I cut out the pocket burlap from coarse calico. Denim is loose, so allowances must be made at least 1 cm. Seam allowances, see fig.

Do not forget to mirror the front hem allowance (marked in blue in the figure)! I made all other seam allowances 1 cm each. I also cut out 2 additional side pockets with folds.

Step 2 I took the processing of pockets from Nina Kuznetsova's master class “We sew denim shorts” ().

We impose burlap as in the photo from the wrong side.

On the front side, we sew a slanting inlay, pulling a little on the bend. Due to the tension, the facing itself rises up. If necessary, cut the allowance in the places of rounding.

Step 3We turn inside out the allowance of the entrance to the pocket along with the facing. We tack, forming a roll of the main fabric to the wrong side of 1-2 mm.

Step 4On the front side we lay 2 finishing lines. I have a special stitch on my sewing machine that imitates a hand stitch, and I used it for stitching.

The advantage of this processing is that the pocket entrance is springy: the oblique facing keeps the rounding of the pocket entrance from stretching, but at the same time gives freedom for the edge to expand when the hand enters.

Step 5 We impose a barrel, pin it with pins only to the burlap of the pocket.

Step 6Lay a line and overlay the edge.

Step 7 In places where the barrel is superimposed on the front half, we lay a running seam.

Step 8 We overlay the hem allowance at the front pocket, ironing all the allowances. Finishing stitch sew the top hem allowance.

Step 9 We iron the hem allowance at the front, pin the pocket with pins and lay two finishing lines, thereby sewing the pocket.

Step 10 We combine the front sides of the front halves. Laying a line, overlaying it.

We iron the seam allowance on one of the halves and lay the finishing lines on the front side.

Step 11 On the front side of the front halves of the pants we impose before, we chop off with pins.

We turn over. We combine the wrong side of the front halves of the pants with the top of the facing, we cut off with pins, we lay a line.

Step 12 Iron the seam allowance towards the front.

Step 13 Iron the top edge of the front facing.

On the front side, we lay the finishing lines, thereby sewing the facing. We cut off the bumps on the sides.

Step 14 We cut out facings for processing the sides and fasteners of the front half of the semi-overalls. We put the detail on a flap of fabric. We circle with chalk. From above, the facing does not reach the folded edge of the front 2 cm, and from below it ends just below the entrance to the pocket.

We finish the second side of the facing (the approximate width is indicated in the photo).

Cut out the patches. Here is what should happen in the end.

Step 15 We overlay the hem of the front, the inside of the facings. We apply the facings as shown in the photo, lay the line, iron the seam allowances in the direction of the facing.

Step 16We put facings on the front side of the front part, we lay a line.Very important: you need to smoothly finish the line, not reaching about 1 cm before entering the pocket! Cut off the corners as shown in the photo.

Step 17 We turn the facings, weave out the edge, iron it. We lay finishing lines on the front side.

Step 18 Let's start working on the back pockets. Overcast the hem allowance, iron it on the wrong side, lay the finishing line on the front side. We iron the rest of the allowances. We sew an arbitrary pattern on the pockets, if possible, making it symmetrical.

Step 19 We pin the pockets to the back halves with pins. We lay finishing lines, thereby sewing pockets. At the top of the pockets, we lay a narrow and frequent zigzag stitch, thereby making bartacks.

Step 20 We overlay the “rounded” side edge at the back halves, iron the hem allowance to the wrong side. We lay finishing lines on the front side.

Step 21 We proceed to the manufacture of the back facing fasteners. From the main fabric we cut out 2 rectangles, length: the size of the red arrow in the photo + 1 cm, width 11 cm.

Fold the rectangle in half widthwise, right side inward. Lay a line at one end. We twist it, we detach it. The second end is overlaid.

Step 22 We apply facings to the front part of the semi-overalls, as shown in the photo. We pin them with pins.

Step 23 We put the back halves on the front half of the semi-overalls with pinned facings, combining them, as shown in the photo.

We chip off with a pin in the place where the front half, front facing, back facing of the fastener and back half touch.

Step 24 We lay a line: above the pin by 2.5 - 3 cm and below the pin by 1 - 1.5 cm.

Step 25 We remove all the pins and again we cut off the back facing of the fastener and the back half. And continue the line up the side seam.

Step 26Lay the line down the side seam, overlay. Iron the seam allowance on the back half. We lay finishing lines on the front side.

Step 27 We pin off the front part of the semi-overalls and the back facing of the fastener with pins. We make a backtack with a narrow and frequent zigzag stitch in the place where the front and back details “meet”. We turn off the front part, combine the facing of the front and the back of the fastener and make a bartack.

Step 28 We sweep and cut the loops on the front half. Usually on denim semi-overalls there are 2 - 3 loops.

Step 29Let's move on to the side pockets. With chalk we transfer the lines of folds. We process the top of the pocket, similarly to other pockets. Iron the pocket along the fold lines. We iron the rest of the allowances.

We pin the pocket with pins in the right place along the side seam. Be careful: the pocket flap will be about 1 cm higher. Do not touch the pocket burlap with it, otherwise the pocket will be less deep! Sew the pocket with finishing stitches. We make fasteners at the top of the pocket.

The progressive and comfortable trend of 2017, which should be in the wardrobe of every modern girl, is a denim jumpsuit. Moreover, the fashion trends of the season allow you to choose among the many styles, shades, lengths and, of course, combinations that you can create based on this functional must-have`a. However, with some models of overalls you need to be very careful, because it is easy to make a mistake, and instead of a stylish street look, create a sloppy and ridiculous one. So here is a guide to choosing and combining the best styles of this year's overalls.

How to wear denim overalls

The jumpsuit is not only functional, but also a universal thing. On the basis of the overalls, you can create a lot of interesting images, for this, just by adding a stylish "top".

Favorite sweatshirt

The most comfortable and practical look that can be created on the basis of a traditional loose-fitting jumpsuit is easy to achieve with a soft sweatshirt. The only condition is the width of the "top": the sweatshirt should not be too large and voluminous.

Skinny pullover

Ideal for cool weather. The standard style of the jumpsuit with straps is best combined with just such a top. Stylish and nothing more.

Hot weather option

In the summer, the best things to combine with overalls are short-sleeved T-shirts and T-shirts. In our opinion, T-shirts look even more interesting and fresh due to the fact that both they and the overalls leave the arms completely open.

The classic and familiar combination of a t-shirt and overalls can be diluted with bright accessories and stylish shoes to give the look the missing "zest".

For one strap

The one-shoulder jumpsuit looks rebellious and relaxed, but no less stylish. For example, like Beyoncé's summer look, consisting of a one-piece swimsuit and a light-colored denim jumpsuit with holes at the knees.

sexy style

The trendy tight jumpsuit with flared trousers does not require any additions, because it is able to create a full-fledged and incredibly “hot” look on its own! You can easily adjust the depth of the neckline with the help of a zipper, deciding how far you are ready to go in your frankness.

Closed overalls

Unlike the previous version, this style, which is a combination of a “top” in the form of a short-sleeved shirt and slightly flared trousers, looks rather modest. But at the same time, leave the jumpsuit buttoned up with all the buttons, or slightly open the body - it's up to you. Accessories and shoes play a special role in this image.

"Top" with bare shoulders

Tight-fitting overalls and a loose-fitting style will look very impressive in combination with a jacket, t-shirt or top with bare shoulders. At the same time, the model of overalls is quite restrained and not provocative. Bare shoulders make the image seductive and chaste at the same time.

With stylish outerwear

Jumpsuit is a great option to create an image for cool weather. You can simply throw your favorite jacket, raincoat or coat over your shoulders - voila, a chic warm outfit is ready!

7. If you wear open-back dresses, you can change your bra so that it is hidden.

You will need:

Clasp from an old bra

Elastic band

Thread and needle

Cut off the fasteners from the old bra, leaving enough space for sewing on the elastic band.

Sew one fastener to one end of the elastic band, fasten it to one end of your bra and wrap around your waist to measure.

If you can't fit two fingers under the back closure, your bra is too tight.

Leave the bra on a towel to dry.

13. Take your sports bra with you to the shower to last longer. and wash quickly by hand and then dry on the bar. Hand washing moisture-wicking clothing helps maintain fabric integrity and extends the life of your bra.

An important positive side of the jumpsuit is that there is no need to match the top or bottom of the wardrobe, everything is connected together in it. At first, overalls were sewn in America for pilots, like a uniform. Then this form of clothing attracted women with children. The shops began to sell children's overalls for boys. After some time, they appeared in the wardrobe of women and girls.

Jumpsuit can be worn everywhere

You can wear it for a walk, in the office, on a date, even for a celebration. For every occasion, you can choose a stylish option.

Alessandra Ambrosio

For example, a denim jumpsuit can be worn for a walk or go shopping in it.

Gigi Hadid

A red jumpsuit with classic trousers can be purchased for dinner at the restaurant.

Complete the ensemble with high-heeled stilettos and stylish jewelry.

How to wear overalls:

  • - Choose a model of overalls in size so that it does not hang on the figure or cut into the body.

  • - If a girl has broad shoulders and narrow hips, then it is better to wear a strapless jumpsuit and wide trousers. Emphasizing the waist will help make the belt.
  • - You need to purchase an option with wide trousers and ladies with large shapes.
  • - When it's cool outside, the jumpsuit is complemented with a cardigan, midi coat, trench coat, but you don't need to fasten such wardrobe items.

  • - For the evening, choose the option with a low neckline on the back.
  • - To create an emphasis on the waist, you need to gird yourself.

What not to do

To look luxurious in overalls, you should follow some rules:

  • - a model with narrow legs should not be worn with flat shoes;
  • - do not add anything superfluous to the "ensemble" so that the image does not turn out to be multi-layered (overloaded);

  • - the drawing, if any, should not be large;
  • - accessories can be in the same tone with the overalls.

Event fit

The main thing is not to forget that the model must match the event you are going to.

If the jumpsuit is made in a free style (laces, fringes), long sleeves, a rough model, then it will fit into an everyday wardrobe.

And to go out in the evening, for example, going to a restaurant, they put on a solid color, which can be supplemented with large decorations. Accessories can be added to a plain outfit without fear of ruining it.
