Dior Addict is a perfume that has long been known and enjoys considerable (judging by reviews) popularity in our country. From time to time he releases limited editions, which then disappear painfully quickly. This summer there is a new addition to the Dior Addict family: Dior Addict Eau Fraiche and Dior Addict Eau Sensuelle.
As much as I love quality promo photos, sometimes I want to show something off in my amateur photos. This is especially true in perfumery, where the magic and beauty of a bottle is often difficult to convey in flawless, cold advertising photos.
All Dior Addict bottles are tall parallelepipeds, the caps of which are crowned with a metal spray button. By turning it, you can close the spray spout: the bottles do not have another cap.
Since Dior is first and foremost a fashion house, perfumer François Demachy presents each of the fragrances as a variant evening dress. Dior Addict Eau Fraiche is “a swirl of folds in a sheer silk chiffon dress.” Dior Addict Eau Sensuelle — « elegant dress lilac silk" and the classic Dior Addict Eau de Parfum - "low-cut, form-fitting black dress from the finest organza."

Dior Addict Eau de Parfum
The most fascinating bottle design, in my opinion: dark blue glass, at times appearing black, as if symbolizing that very notorious mystery that should be in every woman. The smell is definitely evening - viscous, sweet and alluring. Most of all, I feel vanilla in it - vanilla, somehow decorated and shaded with something, but recognizable. A long time ago, I read somewhere that vanilla has a special appeal for us because mother's milk has these notes in its smell. I can’t say if this is true - I’m long past the age of infancy, and even my children are too, but vanilla has a special charm, that’s undeniable. Dior Addict Eau de Parfum is a mysterious, long-eyed beauty, in the pool of whose eyes you drown, submitting to a hypnotic trance. And you don’t know whether you want to shake off these nets that are so noticeably pulling you tighter and tighter.
The top note is mandarin leaves, silk acacia flowers, the heart note is night beauty color extract, the base note is Bourbon vanilla absolute.
Dior Addict Eau Fraiche
I love fresh scents so much that I was initially predisposed to Dior Addict Eau Fraiche and expected that I would like this perfume the most. Alas, it didn’t happen. At first, bergamot and grapefruit were felt in it: hurray, lightness, clouds, summer dresses, Balloons- let's fly! However, the freesia and lotus added later for some reason irreparably spoil the whole composition for me. It turns into a sweet fruity caramel, and I don't like that kind of caramel. Instead of young beautiful girl I see a girl crawling into her mother’s closet with cosmetics and perfume, who has made herself into something bright, but terribly simple. Alas, with all my tolerance for “compote” aromas, this one is a pass for me.
Top note - grapefruit, bergamot, heart note - freesia, white lotus, pomegranate, base note - white musk.
Dior Addict Eau Sensuelle
But we got along great with this delicate lilac beauty. Rose and jasmine in the notes of the perfume combine so well that I don’t feel either the cloying sweetness in the former or the spicy bitterness in the latter.
This aroma radiates some kind of unshakable calm, full of tenderness - for some reason I associate it with the maternal smile of classic Madonnas. Thoughtful and affectionate, very feminine, probably with soft strands flowing over her shoulders long hair- this is how I see the Dior Addict Eau Sensuelle woman. The scent is light and unobtrusive enough to be pleasant to wear in the summer, which is what I do.
Top note is rose essence and absolute, heart note is rose, jasmine, base note is white musk, cedar.
These three aromas make up the currently Dior Addict family. I deeply regret that I didn’t have time to grab the limited editions of previous years - I remember that there were some scents with peach and raspberry, and now I can only lament and sprinkle ashes on my head, remembering them.

This perfume started my love for perfumes. Christian Dior. Who can say what is the scent for more adult woman, but that's not true. I've been a friend and lover of it for ten years, and it's always in my collection. I use it in winter time, sometimes in the fall, when I want magic, fairy tales. The smell is very alluring, sexy, in general, in ten years I haven’t found one yet similar aroma, which would awaken and excite my consciousness, as Dior Addict does. It is incredibly long lasting, even after washing things, I can smell it. It will always be in my collection.
