In Moscow, on the occasion of the celebration of City Day, the demonstration orchestra of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations performed in two parks of the metropolis. The first listeners of the emergency department orchestra that day were visitors to the Green Theater at VDNKh in Ostankino Park.

The one and a half hour concert took place as part of the IV Brass Band Festival, where the musicians became honorary guests of the event. The EMERCOM orchestra was invited after the musicians' performances in Moscow parks this summer evoked a large number of positive responses.

At the Green Theater, the team led by Anton Kozhevatov performed Russian pop hits, popular foreign compositions, songs about firefighters and rescuers, and musical works instrumented for electric violins. In addition, songs by Joseph Kobzon were performed in memory of the People's Artist. The brass band festival took place in Moscow over three summer months.

And in the evening of the same day, musicians of the demonstration orchestra of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia performed in Babushkinsky Park in Moscow as part of the festive program in honor of the capital’s City Day. On stage, orchestra soloists Evgeny Balashov and Alexander Zhukov simply captivated the audience.

Each piece performed by the orchestra sounded unusual. Performers Olga Kuzmina, Dmitry Trifonov and Sergey Arkhipov “lit up” the spectators on the dance floor filled to capacity.

Aurika Mgoi, a participant in the fifth season of the “Voice” project on Channel One, also performed to the accompaniment of musicians from the emergency department.

On the festive evening, songs about Moscow, masterpieces of classical music, dance and instrumental hits and original numbers were performed on the stage of Babushkinsky Park.

Adults and children, grandfathers and grandmothers left their seats and started dancing to the fiery compositions of the Demonstration Orchestra of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

During the hour and a half performance, the artists demonstrated virtuosity in various musical genres, to which the audience responded with enthusiastic applause.

At the end of the festive concert, the audience did not want to let the orchestra go and asked for an encore with thunderous applause.

Before the performance in Babushkinsky Park, the head of the Demonstration Orchestra of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Anton Kozhevatov, in an interview with the correspondent of EMERCOM Media, spoke about the performance in the summer season.

- What does it mean for the orchestra to perform on such a festive and important day for the capital?

Of course, this is a special day when all Muscovites leave their homes, go to parks, relax, have fun, and we meet them and try to distract them and leave a pleasant impression. This year the weather spoils us; Moscow was very lucky with its City Day - a sunny, warm day, without precipitation, which creates comfortable conditions for performances and relaxation. True, I admit that, of course, we prefer a cool day, because we work in a uniform that restricts movement. And our viewers, who have been to demonstration orchestra concerts before, know that we don’t just sit and primly play instruments, but we add show elements, movements, interaction with the audience - it gets, frankly, hot. And this affects the general condition, concentration, attention.

In these stressful situations, musicians must remain calm and demonstrate a high level of professionalism. Today we have a doubly difficult event. We are still impressed by the first performance, and in the evening we will again “blow up” the audience.

- What is the most difficult thing when speaking at such an event?

Naturally, there are a number of technical difficulties and problems that you will never see in plans on paper. Only live, when you come to the site and find out the working conditions. These are always individual performances, individual problems. Well, we mask the problems that cannot be solved with our charisma and skill, so that not a single viewer would guess that something went wrong. People work live, and fifty musicians play with their strength, timbre and range of sound. It’s like a puzzle, but we have not three hours, but 20 minutes to put it together during the rehearsal before the performance. Various cases and problems arose, but never once were our performances performed at a weaker level. This is all thanks to powerful professionals, a strong and friendly team of the demonstration orchestra of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. Recently, the orchestra has been gaining strength precisely due to the individual skill of each musician.

- What is the main goal of your performance in Moscow parks?

The main task for us is to give people rest in body and soul. Someone will discover the Demonstration Orchestra of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, and someone will once again confirm that our orchestra is already a brand.

- How often do new musicians come to the orchestra and is it difficult to get a job in the orchestra of the Ministry of Emergency Situations?

Now it is very difficult to come to us. If earlier I was more busy looking for professional musicians, now that the general level of performing skills of our orchestra has increased, I more strictly select strong, strong, creative, technical and reliable people for the team. It is important not only to find a professional, but also to convey to him that we must constantly keep ourselves in good shape: not to get sick, not to be capricious when it’s hot and heavy, to react quickly, not to relax and to feel discipline. This is very difficult to achieve in a creative environment. And to include “military” and excessive rigidity means immediately losing the creative spirit of the orchestra. If musicians do something under pressure, any listener will feel it. Therefore, everyone in our team does their work with great pleasure.

For fans of live music, the Demonstration Orchestra of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia will perform on October 4, when our country will celebrate the 86th anniversary of the formation of civil defense. And on November 3, the rescue department orchestra will perform with the famous ex-soloist of the Turetsky choir, Belarusian opera singer Valentin Sukhodolts on the stage of the Astakhov cultural center.

The ceremonial event dedicated to the Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation took place on December 27 on the territory of the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative districts (TiNAO), in the House of Culture (DC) “Druzhba” in the Voronovskoye settlement.

The main guests of the event were honored rescuers, firefighters, service veterans and other people who, risking their own lives, save people’s lives. This was reported in the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for the TiNAO.

The solemn event was opened by the head of the Department for TiNAO of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Moscow Sergey Musayelyan. He summed up the department’s work for 2016. Deputy Prefect for TiNAO Vitaly Semenov also congratulated all those present on their professional holiday.

– Rescuers go out every day to tame the fiery elements, eliminate various emergency situations, risking their own lives. I would like to congratulate you on this wonderful and professional holiday, to express huge words of gratitude - on behalf of the prefect for the TiNAO Dmitry Nabokin and on my own behalf,” said Vitaly Semenov.

The best rescuers and employees of the ministry were awarded medals, certificates of honor, thanks and valuable gifts from the prefect of the TiNAO. After the award ceremony, the rescuers were congratulated by the creative teams of the House of Culture. A photo exhibition was organized in the lobby of the cultural institution, reflecting the difficult everyday life of rescuers.
