If you add up the approximate prices of only the cars caught in the field of view of the video cameras, then the total cost of the motorcade will be more than 1 billion rubles.

Thus, according to the calculations of Gazeta.Ru, the wedding cortege included at least 22 Rolls-Royce cars of the Wraith and Phantom models (including two rare Phantoms from the 1960s), at least 30 Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedans, about 25 ML SUVs and at least about 20 Gelandewagens.

Thus, the new Mercedes S500 costs from 7.3 million to 9.8 million rubles. depending on modification. SUVs ML 2015 (now no longer produced) - around 3 million. The cost of the new Phantom is more than 30 million rubles, Ghost - over 20 million. Luxury British retro cars are valued at approximately 15 million rubles. Considering that the British brand sells only about 100 cars in Russia every year, then a fifth of them were at Khamzat Kadyrov’s wedding. Any billionaire would envy such a concentration of Rolls-Royce in one place and at one time.

At the same time, as Gazeta.Ru found out, it is impossible to rent such cars from an official dealer - there are only three of them in Russia.

In addition, several no longer new modest third-generation GMC Yukon SUVs, which cost about 1.5 million rubles, were noticed on the recordings. on the secondary market, a new F-150 for 5 million rubles. and quite a few other cars, among which there were no economy class cars.

It is worth noting that not all of the cars included in the motorcade could be new and, of course, their real cost should be somewhat lower than that of a new model in a car dealership.

However, adding up the cost of even the main models in the cavalcade gives a figure of a billion rubles. And there is every reason to believe that the cortege of about a hundred cars caught on video is far from complete, given that there were about 2,000 guests at the wedding.

As noted in interview Chairman of the Union of Chechen Youth Rustam, who was present at the wedding, people who discuss the video “do not quite understand Caucasian traditions.”

“When there is a wedding in the Caucasus, we make such a cry for all our friends and relatives, and people come in their cars to the groom’s cortege, and, accordingly, the larger the cortege, the greater the respect and prestige. Therefore, these cars are the cars of completely different people who came to support the groom and his family. Cars that came from all the Caucasian republics,” Tapaev noted.

It is worth noting that due to poor quality, it is not possible to examine the license plates of most cars. It is possible to identify only a few elite foreign cars with Chechen license plates of the privileged KRA license plate series, which is unofficially reserved for Kadyrov’s inner circle and symbolizes his full initials.

Some observers noted that not a single Porsche was found in the gigantic wedding procession.

Back in April 2010, Kadyrov made a loud statement on air. In particular, he promised to reduce unemployment in the near future from the current 40 to 20% so that “residents of the republic will switch from Porsche Cayenne to Rolls-Royce.” Judging by Khamzat Kadyrov’s wedding, the head of the republic kept his word.

There will be no penalties for traffic violations

In numerous videos, you can see that most Rolls-Royce, including the one in which the newlyweds are traveling, are driving without license plates. There are no numbers on some other cars either. Moving towards the Kadyrovs’ ancestral village of Tsentoroy, the participants in the motorcade repeatedly drove into the oncoming lane, which was also recorded on film.

One of the recordings shows how only cars from the motorcade are moving along the multi-lane highway - there are no other participants in the movement, which may indicate that the highway was blocked.

About a dozen cars with special signals turned on also took part in the motorcade - they were installed on heavy SUVs. Some SUVs without flashers had illegal strobe lights that were also on.

Russia's Chechen Republic also commented on the situation with the wedding procession of Ramzan Kadyrov's nephew.
“I have no idea about this,” Lom-Ali Kadimagomaev, head of the propaganda department of the Chechen State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, told Gazeta.Ru. — When the wedding took place, I was on a business trip. And today I’ve been in the mountains all day to attend an incident. I don’t have the information yet; I haven’t even had time to look it up on the Internet.”

When asked by a Gazeta.Ru correspondent whether the traffic police will study records of the motorcade's movement, the head of the propaganda department replied: “Okay, we'll see.”

“It’s not my competence to deal with this, I’m a propaganda inspector,” Kadimagomaev summed up.

Apparently, they are not yet going to respond to the incident in Chechnya either. “We didn’t watch these videos,” Magomed-Amin Deniev, head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Chechen Republic, told Gazeta.Ru, refusing further comments.

The Chechen President's press secretary was unavailable for comment. The press service of the Chechen administration reported that his phone was turned off because he was “on the road with Kadyrov.”

It is worth noting that Ramzan Kadyrov pays special attention to the problem of road safety, regularly making loud statements about this. Once he even made a short video in which he and his children violated traffic rules, for which he was pointedly fined “accidentally” by the head of the traffic police in Chechnya who was on duty on the highway.

Well-known human rights activist Igor, who worked in Chechnya for a long time and more than once became the object of harsh criticism from the regional authorities, considers the wedding to be part of the national culture.
