Author MK: /> Materials: Threads, white felt for the eyes and colored felt for the horns, beads for the eyes, filler, gray threads for sewing on the paws and eyes, black floss threads for embroidering the nose and face, hook. I crocheted with 1.15 baby yarn "Vavu". For the eyes I used agate beads. Filling: holofiber. I apologize for the quality of the photos, I took them at night, there was no opportunity to re-photograph. Knitting is done in a spiral, we knit in both half loops so that there is no spiral strip and distortion of sizes. Now we tie the sc so that the hole on the head is in the middle, if necessary, and cut off the thread sufficient for sewing. You can stuff your head with stuffing, but don’t sew up or close ANYTHING yet))) HORNS. (2 parts) In order to make horns for our elk, I used felt, this is such a thin felt. So, first we will make a pattern for the horns. To do this, fold the head in half, preferably so that the arched hole on the head is at the bottom exactly in the middle. This will also show you whether you still need to knit more stitches in the row so that the end of the row is exactly on the side. We folded it, aligned everything, now we place the head on paper or cardboard and draw by hand the horns that you would like to see on your moose. Something like this: You can make it a little larger and more branched - you have to sew them up)) Don’t forget to add an allowance at the bottom for sewing into the head. Now we cut out 4 parts and begin to sew them together in pairs with an overcast stitch. Along the way, I filled the horns with filler to give them volume and elasticity. EARS (2 parts) 1st row: 2 VP, in the second loop from the hook 6 RLS - 6 loops in total; 2nd row:* 1 sc, etc. * 3 times - 9 loops in total; 3rd row:* 2 sc, etc. * 3 times - 12 loops in total; 4th row:* 3 RLS, etc. * 3 times - 15 loops in total; 5 row:* 4 sc, etc. * 3 times - 18 loops in total; Row 6-Row 9: 18 sc each; 10th row:*4 RLS, dec. * 3 times - 15 loops in total; 11th row: 15 sc; Row 12:*3 RLS, dec. * 3 times - 12 loops in total; Row 13-Row 15: 12 sc each. Fold the eye in half and knit a row of single crochets. NECK AND BODY. Stuffing the head: The elk's head is almost completely stuffed. We try to stuff it more tightly so that it springs under our fingers. Tie a thread to the hole in the head and knit a row of sc in a circle - place a marker at the beginning of the row: ATTENTION!!! Girls - your number of loops may not match mine - it's not scary!! The main thing is to focus on the marker. 2nd row - 5th row: 13 sc each 6th row:*1 sc, etc.* - in a circle 7th row - 8th row: RLS in a circle 9th row:*2 sc, etc.* in a circle 10 row-11 row: RLS in a circle Now you can fill the head and partially fill the neck. Try on horns and ears. If everything suits you, fix the horns and sew up the head with the horns right away)) This is what our moose look like now: Happy New Year!!

and I’m sending you another master class of mine.

We really love New Year's interior decor. But sometimes some really original things are very expensive. I suggest you do DIY New Year's elk figurine. Everything is very easy and simple!

New Year's elk (decoupage and decor)

In special stores there are a lot of different preparations. I have come across a lot of similar elk preparations, they are all approximately the same, and are very inexpensive.

We will need:

Let's get started:

We will have a two-sided moose, in a “sweater”, scarf and hats.
Using a simple pencil, draw the approximate dimensions of the “sweater”. We will make it from a napkin. We separate all the extra layers from the napkin, leaving only the top one with the pattern. Use scissors to cut out the necessary parts.

We paint the stand, legs, horns and face brown. Make the muzzle a little lighter. We paint the place where the napkin will be pasted white so that the pattern is better visible and the color of the napkin is not distorted.

We wait for the paint to dry completely. Using PVA glue, glue the napkins on both sides. We also cut out and glue napkins onto the sidewalls (those at the end of the workpiece) (they will be rectangular).

Use a dry brush to tint the edges of the muzzle and horns with a darker brown color (you can even use black). The muzzle becomes more voluminous. In place of the future eyes, we tint them with barely visible white.

We cover the entire workpiece with varnish. You can use 2 layers, then the elk will be more shiny.

Using super glue we glue the eyes and ribbon along the bottom of our “sweater”. We use tape to hide blemishes, and it looks more elegant this way.

We knit a scarf using a crochet hook (or knitting needles, depending on how you know how). It needs to be long enough to tie a knot.

Today we would like to invite you to make an original souvenir for the New Year holidays with your own hands - a soft toy Moose. This craft will not only decorate the interior of your apartment, but will also be an excellent gift for family and friends. Using the toy pattern on our portal and following our tips, you can easily sew this moose without spending a lot of time on it.

So let's get started! For work we will need:

  • Sewing threads to match the fabrics;
  • Faux fur with short pile;
  • Synthetic winterizer or fine sawdust;
  • Felt in grey-beige, dark brown, white and red colors;
  • A sheet of paper for making a pattern;
  • Chunky knit with print;
  • Glue “Moment”;
  • Scissors, pliers, wire cutters;
  • Elastic wire 1.5-2 mm for legs;
  • Decorative eyes (if there are none, use small beads);
  • Pencil for marking fabric;
  • Multi-colored floss threads;
  • Tailor's pins.

Using a pattern from our portal, transfer the contours of all parts onto paper, evenly increasing each part to the size you need. We cut out all the details of our toy and lay them out on the wrong sides of the fabrics. Using a pencil or marker, mark the parts of the future toy on the fabric. We cut out the fabric parts, retreating from the outline by about half a centimeter (these are seam allowances, its size depends on the size of the moose).

Let's start sewing our toy. Take two parts of the horns and sew them together and fill them with padding polyester. Next, take care of the ears. Align the muzzle part with the right sides facing each other with the chin and neck parts, secure them with tailor's pins, and carefully sew along the edge. After this, turn it inside out and straighten the seams thoroughly. We fill the head tightly with padding polyester and sew horns and ears to it. Now sew the eyes to the head. Sew all the body parts together. Leave only small holes for the paws. Turn our elk's body right side out, straighten the seams and fill with padding polyester. Carefully sew the head of the toy to the body. Cut the wire into two equal pieces. stepping back from the center half the width of the body, bend the wire into a “P” shape. Insert the wire into the holes in the body, then sew the holes around the edge and tie tightly with thread. Bend the ends of the wire into loops using pliers, bend each loop slightly to form a foot. Cut thin strips from felt and glue them to the wire legs, wrapping them tightly; the joint can be additionally secured with a “hidden” seam.

Our soft toy is almost ready. All that remains is to sew a hat, jacket and boots and put them on our New Year's elk.

I met this little miracle quite recently, held it in my hands, twirled it - so cute!

I wasn't the only one interested in him. A touching soft toy - New Year's elk. I figured out the pattern in my head - it’s not difficult to repeat, nothing special. Sewing using the tilde principle.

Literally that same day in the evening I found a magazine with layers of vests and their patterns that could be used as a basis.

Naturally, you can change the pattern a little for yourself. Look through the post to the end, there you will find many ideas and examples of how to sew New Year's interior decoration.

Two moose patterns

How easy it is to make a baby animal, so charming it is! By the way, this costs only 20 euros in the store. I had a hard time resisting buying it. Then I decided that there was nowhere to put it, and the house was already full of everything. I took a photo for memory. Perhaps I’ll repeat it someday for myself, and specifically from knitwear.

Small, close-set eyes, a mouth embroidered on the side of the muzzle. The shaggy scarf, horns, nose, legs, boots and “hooves” on the arms are made of fleece.

There is wire inside the horns so that they keep their shape. Yes, the head is almost larger than the body. And it fits well due to the fact that there is a weighting agent inside the body - otherwise the head would have weighed down!

Soft toys from a magazine

We will sew these beauties according to the pattern below. If not all at once, then at least one. For sewing we need:

  • A: 45 cm synthetic plush or fleece 110 cm wide
  • wool felt (also 110 cm wide) - B: 15 cm black, C: 15 x 65 cm gray-beige
  • J: material, vest buttons
  • filler - cotton wool, padding polyester or special granulate
  • wire for horn stability

The size of the figurine is approximately 25 by 52 centimeters.

Before starting work, you need to enlarge the pattern to the required size in a graphic editor, transfer the details onto the fabric with all the small marks. Cut out all the elements with scissors, parts 1 - 7 are given with seam allowances of 0.75 cm, and part 8 does not require any allowances.

They say that moose calves can be planted or hung - they will look equally good.

Wire in the horns is required - this is how they will stand, they can be given any shape you want.

The legs and arms can be left hollow or filled with a little cotton wool, do what you like best. A vest is not required; if you wish, you can knit a scarf for the elk or wear pants.

Another version of a moose with a pattern. It is the simplest, I would say, primitive. But such techniques are now in fashion. This is good to put under the Christmas tree.

Other ideas for sewing elk

Finally, I’ll give you a few more pictures with various toy moose used for New Year’s interior decoration; I don’t have patterns for them, just photos. Perhaps those who sew themselves a tilde in the form of Santa’s cheerful companion for the New Year will draw from here new ideas for their needlework - sewing toys.

Below the horns do not require wire; they can be made of thick felt, suede or leather. The nose is a felt heart. The eyes are black beads. This is a girl in a dress.

Here the horns, on the contrary, are only wire, wrapped with brown woolen thread attached to glue. I really like the shape of the muzzle, and the material was chosen well - short faux fur.

Use fabrics that you already have - unnecessary clothes, even if they are worn, there are undoubtedly good quality areas left there. Warm winter materials will go - from jackets, old skirts, tweed. Use the remaining yarn to make knitted accessories - scarves, hats, socks, mittens for a new friend. Buttons will also come in handy.

This one comes with a fun pom pom hat, scarf, buttons and white trim for extra decoration. This is more difficult to do, because it requires a real frame - it must stand on its own.

I couldn’t pass by the window of a toy store - this one is made of chunky knitwear, I think it would be suitable as an idea for turning a sweater into a toy. The horns are ideally knitted from shaggy fluffy threads called “grass”.

It would be fun to design the nose as a pompom.

It is better to sew knitted parts, especially thick knitted ones, using an overlocker - the edges will be reliably processed and will not fray. But those who only have a sewing machine can get by with a zigzag seam.
