The article presents various applications, three-dimensional templates for creating 3D cards, origami elements and much more. A popular dress card, paper flowers, simple drawings and something else - there are many options, choose any one.

Palm card for mom

Children of almost any age can make such a postcard (primary school, kindergarten - even the smallest can do it). For them, this process will turn into an exciting game, so they will definitely like the work. A child can make a craft by March 8 with his own hands, without outside help or under the supervision of an adult - this depends on the age of each novice craftsman.

We will need:

  • colored cardboard;
  • colored paper;
  • twig;
  • glue.

Fold a sheet of colored cardboard in half. On white paper we trace the palm and cut it out along the contour. Glue it to the cover of the postcard.

Glue a twig to the center of the palm. If you don't have good glue on hand, you can use tape.

Draw flowers and leaves on colored paper. And also the number 8 – a symbol of March 8th. We cut out the blanks.

Glue the decor to the branches. And we will glue the fingers of our palm inside: so that they protrude a little, and the card for mom will turn out to be voluminous.

Ready! All that remains is to add your wish. Now it seems as if the child is clutching flowers in his fist for his beloved mother. By the way, this card can also be given to a teacher - it cannot be called very personal, so it would be appropriate to congratulate the teacher in this way.

Postcard with lilies of the valley

This simple card can be made by children in elementary school. A beautiful three-dimensional applique can be done simply and requires almost no help from adults. With such a small craft you can congratulate a teacher, girlfriend or grandmother on March 8th.

We will need:

  • colored cardboard;
  • green paper;
  • foam rubber or polystyrene;
  • PVA glue.

To make a card, you may need a ready-made template or stencil of flowers. Flowers can be any, but lilies of the valley, lilac, mimosa, lupins - that is, elongated flowers with a lush “crown” - will look most advantageous.

We draw the stems of the plant with a felt-tip pen or pencil. And then we fill the space for the flower itself. To do this, crumble the foam into small pieces or cut the foam. It is very convenient to coat the base with glue, and then simply apply particles of material to it and press to fix it. To make the card more neat, you can help yourself with tweezers.

If you want to make a holiday card for March 8 with lilacs or lupins, the material can be painted with acrylic paint. If you don't have such paint, mix regular watercolor with liquid glue in a 1:1 ratio and apply the mixture to a sponge or foam.

You can make a beautiful border around the edges of the card. You can additionally decorate the image itself with sparkles or a beautiful colored spray (just spray the paint from the brush, moving it 30-40 cm from the cardboard).

Please note that you should write congratulations on March 8 and wishes for the woman to whom you are going to give this beautiful craft in advance. With glued decor it will not be very convenient. However, if you make a double card (with a fold), then you can enter a congratulation after completing the decor.

3D card with number 8

This card can be made by a child under the supervision of elders or by an adult. An original three-dimensional postcard for March 8 will be appropriate as a gift not only to family members, but also to teachers, colleagues and friends. Unusual, beautiful, tender and airy - it will definitely please any woman.

We will need:

  • a sheet of thick paper or cardboard;
  • glue stick;
  • nail scissors;
  • paper cutter.

Making a postcard with a three-dimensional figure eight is quite simple, but we do not recommend this work for small children. If a kindergartener or elementary school student does this together with his mother or grandmother, that’s a different matter, but cutting it out on his own will not be easy for him, because this involves working with a sharp cutter and scissors. If you want to make this card with your child, trust him to cut out the figure eight itself (the large part) and paint the craft, and do the rest yourself.

The voluminous postcard consists of two parts. We offer you a ready-made template so you don't have to draw eights from scratch.

You can simply print out this stencil on plain or colored printer paper in duplicate, then decorate the eights to your liking and cut them out. For a more durable design, glue the templates to cardboard and then cut them out.

There is one more trick. If you don't want to decorate the paper and you have some pretty cardstock, glue the printed paper to the back of it. Then simply cut out the parts according to the template - on the front side on a beautiful cardboard you will get the desired design.

Use a cutter to cut out small parts on the template. Make a small cut, and then help yourself with nail scissors with thin, rounded ends.

Fasten two figure eights together at the top and bottom. For this we made special “hooks”. For reliability, you can fasten the parts of the future postcard with glue.

Shape the base to make it stable. By the way, you can additionally glue it with a strip of cardboard. This makes sense if the rest of the 3D card structure is made of paper.

You can leave the craft white. This color is airy, delicate and pure - an excellent symbol of women's holiday. Such a voluminous card will perfectly complement any gift for March 8th. At the same time, you will be original - few people are ready to make a postcard of such fine workmanship.

Postcard with 3D flowers

A voluminous bouquet inside a postcard is a great spring surprise for March 8th! Give your mother, grandmother, sister and friend such a card - they will definitely be delighted. The design is quite simple to assemble, so even elementary school children can handle making this postcard with their own hands.

We will need:

  • cardboard for the base;
  • multi-colored paper;
  • glue stick;
  • double sided tape.

We cut out 7 squares measuring 10x10 cm from colored paper of different colors. You can take paper in one color scheme, or you can make the flowers in the card bright and use contrasting shades.

Fold the square in half, then in half again. Next, we make a lapel on one side and the other - so that we get a triangle. Then with a pencil we draw a small rounding - a blank for the petal. We cut off the excess and straighten the part: we have a small flower in the shape of hearts. We cut off one petal and then fasten the structure with glue. As a result, we got a slightly raised cup of petals.

The first blank for the postcard is ready. All that remains is to cut out the remaining parts according to this pattern. We will also need to make two petals from green paper - we immediately attach small pieces of double-sided tape to them.

For the convenience of further instructions in this master class, the parts are labeled with letters in the photograph.

We begin to connect the flower. Flowers B and C are attached to A. In this case, D overlaps A.

Flowers E and F are attached to D and connected to B and C.

All that remains is to attach flower G on top. We put it on element D and glue it. We attach the leaves with double-sided tape to the petals themselves.

Our three-dimensional flower is already ready, all that remains is to attach it to the holiday card. To do this, we place the flower on its side and attach it to the inside of the card on one side. Smooth out and close the card. Then we open it, straighten the structure and do the same manipulation on the opposite side.

We have created a beautiful three-dimensional card for March 8, which any woman will enthusiastically accept. Just imagine how surprised a person will be when a gorgeous three-dimensional flower of extraordinary beauty literally grows on his palms. This is perhaps one of the best surprises for International Women's Day!

Simple card for mom

If you work with young children who need to congratulate their mothers on the holiday, or you have a kindergartener or schoolchild whom you are ready to help with making a card, this master class will be your lifesaver. A gift for mom, older sister or kindergarten - this applique is good for any occasion. The simplest holiday cards made of paper with flowers made from large parts using ready-made templates are what you need for creativity with children.

We will need:

  • colored cardboard;
  • multi-colored paper;
  • printouts with congratulations;
  • glue stick.

To make the texture of the card more interesting, you can add corrugated paper.

We bend the cardboard in half so that a congratulation can be placed inside. We will cut the flower out of colored paper. You will find the template below: you can print the stencil or draw it yourself.

Cut out the details. If you are making several cards at once, it is convenient to fold several sheets of paper together and cut out 3-4 flowers and centers at once.

We recommend adding butterflies to the card - this will make the craft for March 8 even more original. Elementary school children can easily cut out wings on their own. You can find ready-made butterfly stencils.

Congratulations can be typed into a text document and printed, or you can help your child write them by hand.

Decorate the card outside and inside - attach all the details with a regular glue stick or PVA. If the children are older, you can add more interesting glitter decorations. To do this, you need to coat part of the card with glue and sprinkle dry glitter on top, or simply paint the surface with ready-made glitter markers.

Card-dress: origami and with a napkin

One of the most popular cards for March 8th is a dress card. This craft looks very beautiful and original. It can be given to an older sister, a young mother or a friend.

Some people think that making a card with a dress with their own hands is quite difficult. Actually this is not true. The simplest origami technique is easy to perform, and even a schoolboy can handle it. We invite you to watch the video master class and repeat these simple step-by-step instructions.

Very often dress cards are made with napkins. To do this, you need to fold the top part of the dress, as shown in the video, and cut the bottom. Next, simply gather the unfolded napkin into an accordion shape, fasten it in the middle with thread and bend it in half. Glue the napkin to the central part. “Seat” the edges with glue, and leave the rest of the napkin free.

By the way, the shirt of the dress does not need to be folded. If you have a ready-made image of a fashionista or princess from a magazine, or a suitable photo of the person you are giving a card to on March 8th, simply cut and paste the image and then add a napkin.

Postcards with dresses are always received with special delight. They look very elegant and festive. Perhaps this is one of the best additions to a gift for March 8th.

Choose any of the proposed holiday cards and complement it with your own decor and warm wishes. Mothers, grandmothers, teachers, sisters, girlfriends, aunts and colleagues - everyone deserves attention on this day. And if you don’t plan to give gifts to women you know, delighting them with cards is not difficult. You will only need the simplest materials and a few minutes, but the person who receives your homemade postcard for March 8th will be truly touched and happy.

It is also worth noting that recently electronic greeting cards have become increasingly popular gifts for March 8th. They can be made very quickly in online services and sent by email or social network to your loved ones. For example, the Canva service allows you to create a unique greeting card in literally 10 minutes from a variety of ready-made templates for any holiday, and in addition to the electronic version, you can save it in PDF format for printing on a home printer or in a printing house.

Choosing a postcard theme

It would seem, what to choose? The eighth day of March in our country is a women's holiday, which means we need something pleasant for women. And here there is room for thought, because the theme for the postcard can be:
  • flowers (bouquets and individual flowers);
  • plant motifs (leaves, twigs, blades of grass and other flora);
  • beautiful abstraction (spots, splashes, curls and doodles);
  • family motifs (stylized depiction of the whole family, the relationship between mother and child);
  • motherhood (happy mother in different life or comical situations);
  • femininity (any images associated with femininity - self-care, outfits);
  • culinary themes (charming confectionery products can lift the spirits of many women);
  • animals.
My daughter also suggested using all kinds of insects as a theme for the cards, but, in my opinion, it could be either butterflies or dragonflies - all other insects do not seem attractive to me.

Choosing a work technique

To understand how to do it, you first need to figure out what techniques are available to you and what you can work with. These could be:
  • painting and graphics;
  • applique;
  • scrapbooking;
  • origami;
  • decoupage;
  • embroidery.
As backup options, you can also use beadwork and knitting, but such cards turn out to be too bulky and labor-intensive.

Different topics and different techniques

Several examples of postcards with different themes, made in different techniques, with a brief description of the work.

Graphics and flowers

The simplest combination, making such a postcard is very easy. Draw flowers in any technique you like - with watercolors, alcohol markers or even gel pens, fold the sheet in half and decorate the drawing a little by adding small details - for example, with glitter gel pens.

Or cut out several circles of different diameters from multi-colored paper, and then cut each circle in a spiral and twist them into buds, you will get cute little flowers with which you can decorate a card.

Another option for a postcard:

You will also need to sign the postcard - you can try to draw a beautiful inscription with your own hands, using the technique of fake calligraphy, or you can simply print out the inscription you like from the Internet.

Options for printable phrases from the site:

Floral motifs and quilling

Quilling is the ideal technique if you want to create voluminous and original beautiful cards for March 8th. To work, you will need a sketch or a master class, a piece of thick paper for a postcard (for example, colored cardboard) and strips of colored paper for quilling.

You need to lay out a drawing from the stripes according to the sketch, gluing it in such a way that it holds its shape well. Or take advantage of the master class and follow its recommendations. Such cards turn out very impressive and beautiful.

If you want to get a voluminous, beautiful postcard for March 8, made by yourself, then it makes sense to make all the elements using the quilling technique separately, and then assemble them on a blank - this way you can work out the composition and come up with your own style.

Abstraction in any technique

This is a fairly simple way to make beautiful cards in just a few minutes, especially if you have minimal skill in working with paints and understand how to mix colors on a sheet so as to get beautiful stains and not dirt on the sheet.

You can try the marbling or suminagashi technique - special paints are dropped onto the water, and the stains are “removed” onto the paper by dipping. This technique allows you to imitate marble - I think you will get beautiful abstract greeting cards.

You can try using monotype - to do this, apply a few drops of liquid watercolor to any smooth and non-absorbent surface, attach a sheet of paper and remove - you will get a beautiful print that can be used as a background for a postcard.

Marbling, like monotype, is a very easy way to make a beautiful background, and a self-made background can be decorated with a ready-made inscription (for example, printed from the Internet).

Scrapbooking and femininity

Working in the scrapbooking technique is interesting and quite simple, but you will need to visit a craft store to buy materials for work - cuttings, chipboards, beautiful adhesive tapes, interesting pastes for texturing and all kinds of glitters.

Choose an image for your card - for example, a dress and lace. This is not a very complicated image that even a child can embody. So, you need to choose a background for the card, cut it out and glue it to the base.

Then make the central element - the dress. The upper part is simply cut out of paper, the lower part is best folded into a fan to give a little volume. Glue a piece of lace and some small symbol onto the background - it could be the number eight, a flower, a bird or a butterfly, and then install the central element, and your card is ready.

Watch the video for the steps to create postcards with dresses:

Origami and animals

It is very easy to learn how to fold origami, and a voluminous postcard decorated with origami looks interesting. Try to make a cute little fox, cat or bird.

To make a postcard you will need origami paper (can be replaced with ordinary colored double-sided paper), a base for the postcard and decor of your choice. If you want the card to be elegant, then you can use sparkles, foil patterns and stars.

And if you like minimalism, then a plain background and a bright paper animal are a great choice!

Culinary theme in different techniques

If you want to make a card in a culinary style, then you can take different motifs - a jar of jam, a beautiful cupcake or just a cup of coffee. This greeting card will be cozy and charming.

To make it, you will need materials for scrapbooking, but you can make do with improvised materials - scraps of beautiful paper, unusual lace and labels, multi-colored tape and voluminous flowers. Assembling finished products is a pleasure, especially if the topic is close to you.

A few more ideas + Video bonus

Now you know how you can make an unusual, beautiful card for any holiday and for March 8th. If your child wants to make his mother a postcard for March 8 with his own hands, then it is better to turn on a video lesson for him - one that was recorded by the child, so the baby will understand it more and more interesting, and the card for his mother will turn out just great!

The long-awaited spring is approaching, and with it our favorite holiday - March 8th. It's International Women's Day. It is celebrated at the very beginning of spring, when there is still snow here and there, icicles hanging and even frosts are possible... But spring is already in the air, the sun is shining and the soul becomes warmer. We congratulate our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, friends, classmates. We give them flowers - the first, tender, spring ones... also on this day it is customary to give gifts and, of course, cards. Let's draw a picture for March 8th step by step and include it in a DIY greeting card. What makes such a gift so valuable is that it is made with one’s own hand.

Stage 1. So, let's draw the base of our image. We will place two figures similar to a circle, but not completely round, but rather oval, on one straight line running obliquely on a sheet of paper. A curved line extends from the lower oval, at the top of which we draw two small figures - one looks like an oval, the other like a leaf.

Stage 2. On two oval figures we begin to draw the curved lines of the future number “8”. They are curled, each of them looks like a steam room, but is directed in a different direction.

Stage 3. Along the borders of the ovals we make the edges of the number “8”. We retreat slightly from the original lines inward. The number “8” should be depicted as if lying on the plane of the drawing.

Stage 4. Along the curved line drawn in stage 1 from the lower oval, we draw a spring flower - a tulip: a straight stem, two sharp-angled protruding leaves and the flower itself, consisting of closed petals.

Stage 5. Now add more tulips. We draw their flowers just in those small figures from stage 1. These are buds. Stems extend down from them and leaves are also visible below.

Stage 6. Along the edges of these three tulips we will add two more flowers. They are smaller sizes. The result was a bouquet of five tulips, located behind the number “8”.

Stage 7. Using the number “8” itself, we will make additional smooth curls of various configurations: patterns, dots, etc. This will give the figure some volume later when coloring.

Stage 8. At the bottom we will add an oval in which there will be an inscription. Let's draw small butterflies on top.

Drawing for children 6-9 years old “Postcard for March 8th”. Using a combined gouache painting technique

Author of the work: Shaigorodskaya Ksenia, 6 years old.
Supervisor: Pavlova Galina Vladimirovna, teacher of MBDOU No. 20, Snezhinsk, Chelyabinsk region.
Description: The master class is intended for children aged 6-7 years and children of primary school age, kindergarten teachers, primary school teachers, additional education teachers, parents, creative people.
Purpose: With this drawing you can decorate a room, use it in a drawing class, or as a gift for your mother or grandmother on March 8th.
Target: teach how to draw flowers in a vase using gouache in the traditional way and using the monotype technique.
Tasks:
- consolidate the idea of still life;
- introduce the non-traditional technique “monotype”;
- learn to draw flowers using a variety of shaping movements, making a preliminary sketch, and then painting it with gouache, working with the whole brush and its end;
- learn to place the image on the entire sheet;
- strengthen the ability to hold a brush correctly, rinse it well and dry it;
- develop a sense of color, composition, creative imagination, perseverance, the ability to select paints according to the color scheme of the entire image;
- cultivate a sense of beauty, the desire to diligently create beautiful images;
- cultivate a desire to please loved ones.

Preliminary work: conversation.
Word "still life" came into Russian from French. The expression nature morte is divided into two parts - “nature” and “morte” and is translated as “nature, nature, life” and “dead, quiet, motionless.” Thus, still life- this is a genre of easel painting, the artist’s depiction on canvas of a frozen, motionless nature, things surrounding a person (household items, musical instruments, flowers, fruits, vegetables, food), placed, as a rule, in a real environment and compositionally organized into a single group. Sometimes still life masters complement their paintings with images of living creatures: butterflies, caterpillars, spiders and bugs, and even birds, animals and people.
Monotype(from the Greek monos - one, single and tupos - imprint) - a type of printed graphics, the invention of which is attributed to the Italian artist and engraver Giovanni Castiglione (1607-1665).
The monotype printmaking technique involves applying paint by hand onto a perfectly smooth surface of a printing plate, followed by printing on a machine. The print obtained on paper is always unique. What is imprinted can be left in the same form, or it can be supplemented with new details.

Material required for work: a thick sheet of white paper, a transparent plastic corner of A4 format, gouache, brushes: pony or squirrel No. 2, 6, a paint brush with natural bristles, a simple pencil, a glass of water, a palette, a napkin.

Work progress:
1. Sketch a vase with flowers using a simple pencil. First, we draw the “horizon” line, then we draw a vase and a lush bouquet, lightly drawing leaves and flowers. Since we have a festive still life, we make the appropriate inscription: “HAPPY MARCH 8!”

2. Apply paint to a plastic A4 corner with a paint brush (for the wall - yellow with orange spots, for the table surface - orange). We press the plastic corner with paint onto the sheet, run it with our palm and carefully, slowly remove it. The result is a voluminous wall drapery and a table with a “wood-like” surface effect.

3. Paint the leaves of the bouquet with dark green paint, using a thin brush.

4. Paint the vase with red paint, leaving the glare from the sun unpainted. Take a thick brush (No. 6).

5. For flowers, Ksenia decided to choose an unusual blue color, deciding that it would look best in the composition of this still life.

6. Now let’s move on to the details: draw in the gaps against the background of the wall and table with yellow paint.

7. Mix blue and white paints in the palette and draw flower petals with a thin brush. Draw with the tip of the brush.

8. Add more white paint to the diluted blue paint and draw the topmost petals of our flowers to achieve the effect of voluminous flowers.
We paint the inscription with a thin brush with red gouache.

Our festive still life is ready!

And this is how the painting looks in a frame.

Thank you very much for your attention!!!
