Paper crafts on a winter theme. Winter New Year crafts for kindergarten: ideas and templates

For men

Winter is just around the corner, there is already snow in many Russian cities, and kids are spending more and more time at home, sitting more comfortably on a soft carpet and closer to a heat source, such as a radiator or a sleeping cat. Winter is the time of snowballs, tea with raspberries, tangerines, Christmas trees and, of course, winter crafts - snowflakes, snowmen, snow globes, etc. I offer you a selection of 10 winter paper crafts that are quite simple to make, but at the same time original and interesting.

1. Let's start with a craft for kids, this is the famous snow globe, but it is made of paper. Prepare materials for winter appliqué in advance, cut out a circle from blue paper and several triangles from green paper, repeat the geometric shapes at a time. You will also need cotton wool balls and glue.

2. The snowman is the most popular winter character, probably second only to . This drawing was drawn, or rather printed, with a pencil eraser, you can see how clear the round dots are. A very interesting idea, in my opinion.

3. And this snowman is made from the base (tube) for toilet paper. A very charismatic friend.

8. Take a good look, this funny penguin is made from a simple paper plate. Another winter idea for our collection.

9. A Christmas mitten wreath will decorate your door. This craft is ideal for a group of children, for example, in a kindergarten. Let each child decorate their mitten in their own way, then string them together to form a wreath.

10. What would winter be without snowflakes! Here are 24 patterns of the simplest and most beautiful snowflakes from Pega Principale.

You will find even more winter ideas in a special section on the website.

For those who, despite their inexperience in creative matters, decided to help their child with a craft, we offer ideas describing the process of making a craft for kindergarten on the theme “Winter” with your own hands (photos and step-by-step instructions later in the article).

How nice it is to sit warm and cozy on a frosty winter evening at home with your children and make something like that. The snow-white landscape outside the window and the intricate openwork of ice floes on the glass evoke motifs and subjects for creativity. For those who are passionate about creativity and to some extent master one or another technique, it is quite easy to come up with a plot and bring it to life, and even together with the child, preparing for a thematic exhibition in kindergarten during the winter, New Year period.

Christmas tree, Christmas tree - forest aroma

Winter for children means, first of all, the New Year! And what is New Year without a decorated Christmas tree? It will be very interesting for the baby to make it together with his mother and take it to the kindergarten to show off his own forest beauty, and even an unusual and very beautiful one. Here are some crafts for kindergarten on the theme “winter” with a New Year tree that you can make with your own hands (photos step by step and descriptions are given below).

Pasta beauty

For this craft, you can use pasta, so beloved by almost all children. Making such a beautiful Christmas tree from pasta is not only pleasant, but also useful. When working with parts of this size, children develop fine motor skills of their fingers, which has a beneficial effect on the overall development of the toddler.

Let's see how to make this Italian pasta style Christmas tree. Let's prepare everything you need:

  1. Pasta. They can be of any shape, not just those shown in the photo. Let your child dig through the pasta and choose the ones he likes.
  2. The cone is the basis for the Christmas tree. This could be a plastic glass with a stem. A very convenient option, since by unfastening the leg, you can use it as a stand. You can also use ready-made foam blanks, which are sold in craft stores, or roll a cone out of thick paper yourself.
  3. Glue. It is better if it is thermal glue, as it glues all the parts instantly. But in this case, you need to do this procedure for an adult, and not trust it to a child in order to avoid burns.
  4. Green paint and brushes. It is better to use acrylic, but gouache will also work.
  5. Any beads, bows, ribbons, rhinestones or just pasta of a different shape for a Christmas tree outfit.

Let's get creative:

Step-by-step photos for this wonderful do-it-yourself kindergarten craft on the theme “winter” are given below for a more visual aid.

Openwork Christmas tree made of paper

Here is another do-it-yourself kindergarten craft with a picture of a New Year tree (see photo below). These are miniature openwork Christmas trees on paper. They can be made very easily and quickly with your child. For one craft, you can make several of these beauties and stick them on the base, arranging the composition in the form of a winter forest and complement the picture with snowdrifts made of paper or cotton wool, and snowflakes.

To work you need:

  • thick paper or cardboard of any desired format for the base.
  • green colored paper.
  • scissors.
  • PVA glue.
  • white paper or cotton wool for snowdrifts.
  • any decorative material to decorate Christmas trees. These can be small buttons, rhinestones, pompoms, beads and sequins.

Let's start creating:

There is another technique that will allow you to make truly masterpieces from paper - quilling. Thanks to narrow, twisted strips of paper, you can lay out openwork, like lace Christmas trees, snowflakes, any animals, landscapes.

The patterns in this technique are fascinating and do not leave anyone indifferent. If you explain to your child the basics of quilling and the procedure, he himself will be able to make a snowflake or a Christmas tree for kindergarten.

Snowflakes

The technique involves rolling up very narrow strips of paper and gluing them onto a sheet of paper. But you can also make voluminous crafts from thick strips using quilling technology.

Let’s take a step-by-step look at the “Snowflake” craft for kindergarten on the theme “winter” with photos and make it with your own hands.

What you will need:

  • office white paper. It needs to be cut into even, identical strips. For snowflakes, it is fashionable to make strips 1 cm wide;
  • scissors;
  • ruler with circles of different diameters;
  • toothpick for twisting elements;
  • PVA glue for fastening elements;
  • you can take a beautiful braid to make a loop for a snowflake and hang it on a Christmas tree or on a wall.

Let's start tinkering:

  • cut even strips of bull paper;

  • Now we twist the elements. We twist all the strips the same way. We press one end to the toothpick and begin to tightly wind the entire strip;

  • we fold all the elements into a snowflake according to the diagram and glue the joints;
  • when the glue dries, you can attach the ribbon;
  • Such a snowflake can be sprinkled with glitter varnish to make it elegant and shiny.

When the principle is clear, you can take on any image. Here are a few more photos of crafts using the quilling technique to help and inspire.

I made him out of what was

It’s very entertaining and fun to make crafts with children from the unnecessary things you have in the house. Kids are very happy when any used household items that are usually thrown away can be used in an unusual way and create a small miracle from them. We offer several do-it-yourself crafts for kindergarten on the theme “winter” from scrap materials, photos and descriptions of which are given below.

Penguin from a plastic bottle

Be sure to make this wonderful penguin with your children, or maybe even a couple. If you don’t send him to kindergarten for an exhibition, then such a cutie can be placed under the Christmas tree at home with Father Frost and the Snow Maiden. It is done simply and quickly.

Let's prepare everything you need:

  • two plastic bottles of the same size.
  • glue (preferably a thermal gun, it glues very quickly).
  • acrylic paints and 2 brushes (wide and thin).
  • some yarn for knitting.
  • scraps of fabric.
  • You can use any filler or weighting material inside the penguin, or do without it, the penguin will be light, but still stable.

Let's start creating a penguin:

  1. You need to cut the bottles as in the photo below, leaving one bottom from one bottle and the lower part a little higher from the other bottle.
  2. Glue the 2 parts from the bottles. The bottom will be the cap, and the higher part will be the penguin’s body.
  3. We paint the entire structure white and let it dry well.
  4. We outline the outline of the abdomen, the one that will remain white. Let's go over it again with white paint, and paint the rest up to the cap (up to the top part) with black paint. Let it dry.
  5. Now we paint the hat in any color and with any ornament. First, paint the cap in the main color, let it dry and draw in the details.
  6. Draw a muzzle: 2 dots of eyes and a triangular beak.
  7. We make a pompom from threads. We wind more thread on the fork. We tie the wound threads on one side and cut them on the other side. We received a pompom. Glue it to the top of the head.
  8. Cut a strip from the fabric. This is a scarf, we tie it on a penguin.

This is an easy-to-make and effective kindergarten craft on the “winter” theme, and a detailed photo will help you make it with your own hands.

Girdyanda

Another wonderful craft for kindergarten that you can make with your own hands from scrap materials. This is a garland or Christmas decorations made from light bulbs that have already burned out.

For it you need:

  • burnt out light bulbs;
  • acrylic paints;
  • any scraps of fabric or felt;
  • braid and rope for the base of the garland.

Let's get started:

  1. First we need to think about who we will make from each light bulb. These could be snowmen, Santa Clauses, dogs, penguins and any other living creatures.
  2. We decorate the light bulbs to match the chosen character. You can refer to the photos provided.
  3. We complement the look with ears, scarves and caps made of fabric or felt. These toys do not require any special pattern, just cut out a piece of a suitable shape and glue it on.
  4. Now we attach a braid to each toy light bulb and, if desired, assemble it into a garland.

Healthy lifestyle in everything

Winter is not the time to sit at home, escaping the cold, infections and colds. Winter is a time for active outdoor play. Skiing, sledding, snowball fights, forts and snowmen – these are the things you can’t imagine this time of year without. Let's reflect this in a craft for kindergarten on the theme “winter”, which we will do with our own hands (photos of such crafts follow).

Funny and mischievous skiers can be made using the templates given below. They need to be transferred to paper, cut out and decorated. Give them skewers - ski skewers - and put (glue) them on skis made from ice cream sticks.

You can make several of these skiers and hang them on a ribbon or place them on cotton wool drifts. To do this, take a lid from a cardboard box and glue cotton wool into it, and glue skiers on top. The craft can be supplemented with Christmas trees made of green paper rolled into a cone.

Here are some more ideas for kindergarten crafts on the theme “winter”:

  • you can make a Christmas tree from palms cut out of green paper;
  • and the same palms can be assembled into a wreath;
  • snowman made of yarn balls. To do this, you need to inflate 2 balloons and wrap them in polyethylene, wrap them with white threads dipped in PVA glue, let them dry and burst the balls, pulling them out from the inside. We glue both balls one above the other, decorate them with a cap and a nose made of an orange paper cone, and tie a scarf to it;

  • you can use twigs painted with white paint and make a wreath out of them, decorate them with any beads, sequins, pendants you have at home;
  • The craft can be made from plasticine. It could be a winter landscape. Sprinkle it with foam crumbs;

  • Another version of plasticine crafts is a panel. To do this, you need thick cardboard, we apply a small pattern on it and decorate it not with paints, but with plasticine, rubbing the desired color into the necessary areas;
  • very good and cozy crafts are made from threads. We do them like this. You need to chop wool or acrylic threads of different colors into fine crumbs (cut finely). Draw a drawing with large details on paper. It could be a Christmas tree and a snowman, for example. Now we coat each part separately with PVA glue and sprinkle with crushed threads of the desired color. We do this with each detail separately.

Long winter evenings, a quiet family atmosphere, New Year's holidays - and now your desire awakens in us

Winter crafts with and for children

 12:26 November 27, 2017

Long winter evenings, a quiet family atmosphere, New Year's holidays - and now the desire to create unprecedented beauty with our own hands awakens in us. And if you add to your own imagination the huge mass of ideas with which the Internet is simply overflowing, then you can actually become addicted to homemade products. Moreover, you don’t need any unusual materials for this. Just the opposite: on winter crafts Anything in the house will do.

Such funny snowmen made from felt, socks and even salt dough.

A funny penguin made of colored paper will amuse a child and teach the basics of geometry.

Snow-white winter is our favorite time of year for many of us, and New Year is one of the best holidays. Just imagine: it’s frosty outside, the roads are snowy, everything is covered with huge snowdrifts, and the whole family has gathered in a warm, cozy house on a day off. And when the kids start fiddling with colored paper and scissors, normal parents will not be able to stay away and will definitely join in the needlework, which will bring pleasure to both themselves and the kids. The desire to create awakens even more with the appearance of a fluffy Christmas tree. That’s when the children with mom and dad open a real workshop of Santa Claus, so many Christmas tree toys, garlands, snowflakes and decorations for gifts appear from under their hands. Not only is it beautiful, but it also brings great joy to those making crafts and those who see them.

If you remember, we wrote in detail how to make a solution for crystals.

Our inventive mothers, if desired or necessary, can adapt any item for decoration. This is how New Year’s crafts FROM FIGURED PASTA PRODUCTS have become very popular. You can get creative with your child and make unusual toys and funny garlands. Even if you simply paint them gold or white and sprinkle them with frosted pieces, the tree will sparkle from them, and the baby will be simply delighted. For the little ones, simple toys made from cardboard templates are suitable. The child will be able to cut out figures from paper, felt or foil. You can also use unnecessary beads and buttons found at home, different in shape and color. The child can sew them according to his own taste to previously made figures. Then they must be hung on the tree in the place of honor.

Children's winter crafts

For older guys, we can offer more serious kids winter crafts, requiring certain skills. This way, younger schoolchildren can easily cope with a New Year’s craft - SLIPPERS WITH SANTA CLAUS. Of course, they can be made “in an adult way” - from thick felt, insoles, padding polyester. But in our case, a simpler one is suitable - a souvenir version of slippers that can be hung, for example, for combs in the hallway. They are made either from thick fabric or cardboard. In this case, the child traces his foot on cardboard and cuts out the base. Then he cuts out the top of the slipper from another piece of cardboard, and you can offer him to cut out its shape according to the template you made in advance. Before connecting both blanks, the upper part is decorated to resemble the face of Santa Claus. To do this, you can take a braid of a suitable tone, thick fabric, colored paper, two white buttons and two black beads from which the eyes are made, multi-colored yarn, padding polyester for mustaches, beards and the edges of a hat. You can decorate everything with white gouache and glitter. If your child gives such a souvenir to his beloved grandparents, then their happiness will know no bounds.

Beautiful New Year card.

And here is another postcard with a snowman.

A fun version of a New Year's craft - Christmas tree decorations FROM EGGSHELLS. First, the white and yolk are carefully blown out of a whole (fresh) egg through punctures at its ends. Then the most creative stage begins - decorating the shell. The easiest way is to cover the entire surface of the eggshell with small pieces of colored paper. You can glue different applications from the same colored paper. If you add cotton hair, a mustache, a beard and a paper cap to the drawn mouth, nose and eyes, you can get a cute gnome, clown, Santa Claus or someone else. You can also cover the egg with glitter, decorate it with finely chopped “rain”, various ribbons, and absolutely anything else you can get your hands on. You can also simply paint the shell, but not with watercolors or gouache. They do not adhere well to the surface of the egg, so oil or acrylic paint is more suitable. A thread for hanging the toy, first threaded through both holes, is secured at the lower end of the egg, for example, with a thread tassel or bead.

Sugar snowmen.

Do you still not know how to properly use plastic bottles?

But for an APPLE OF PARADISE, everything in the kitchen will do. This way you can crumple the foil and give it the shape of a small apple. On top it needs to be wrapped with a finishing layer of the same foil. A peppercorn is glued into the recess at the bottom of the apple, and two holes are pierced in the upper recess into which a stalk, a leaf and a fastening thread will be inserted. For the cutting, you can use a twig, a real tail from an apple or a piece of twine, and the leaf can be successfully replaced with a bay leaf, which is better tinted for greater naturalness. Now all that remains is to sprinkle the apple with snow. It can be replaced with scraps of paper, small polystyrene foam balls, or even ordinary granulated sugar. To prevent the snow from falling off, the apple should be coated with glue or clear polish (nail polish) and rolled in snow material prepared ahead of time. Moreover, you do not need to roll the entire apple, but only one side or the top. When the apple is dry, it will be ready to hang on the tree.

Ball of corks

Parents of children who go to kindergarten often have to rack their brains over crafts for the next thematic exhibition. In addition to the fact that works are required for all holidays, seasonal exhibitions are sometimes held. Winter crafts for kindergarten are no less popular than for Autumn Day. There will be fewer options for using different materials, but if you use your imagination, you can make a very interesting composition with your own hands.

What to use for winter crafts in kindergarten?

It is somewhat easier to do this kind of work in the fall. The thing is that the gifts of nature during this period are quite generous. Therefore, you can use not only what has grown in the garden bed, but also those materials that simply lie under your feet, namely leaves, acorns and cones.

In winter everything is a little more complicated. In order to create an interesting winter composition, you have to take the materials that are at home. Most often, cotton wool, glitter, white paper, cardboard and beads are used to create miniature crafts on the theme of a winter fairy tale.

But this is not a complete list of what can be used for winter crafts in kindergarten. For example, a number of interesting logs come out of ordinary ear sticks. Don't forget about such interesting material as cotton pads. They can be used to make snowmen or snow-covered Christmas trees.

Don't forget about plastic bottles and toilet paper rolls.

From these materials you can make a lot of interesting crafts, including those related to winter themes. For example, it is unnecessary plastic bottles that become an excellent basis for cute penguins.

As the New Year approaches, many people think about such a convenient material as tinsel. It is also used to create winter-themed crafts.

As for the base, many parents use cardboard out of habit. But recently, more interesting options have begun to appear on sale. For example, we can mention foamiran. This is a convenient material that can become the basis for making various crafts, for example, a beautiful Christmas tree.

Trees for winter crafts in kindergarten

Many parents use a fairly common theme, namely “Winter Forest”.

There can be quite a lot of options for its manufacture, depending on what material is chosen by the master. But the foundation is most often done in the same way. To do this, you need to make several cones out of paper and place them on a sheet of cardboard.

Next, the main thing is to process the workpieces correctly. To do this, you can take tinsel, cotton wool or thread. The cones are carefully wrapped with the necessary material. Then you can sprinkle them a little with glitter, and then fix them on cardboard. After that, pieces of cotton wool are laid out, which can also be made to shine. At this point, the “Winter Forest” craft can be considered complete.

To make winter trees, you can take other materials, for example, ear sticks or foamiran. If the craftsman has skills in working with beads, you can make a beautiful snow-covered tree. To do this, take beads and wire. The result is a very interesting option that is sure to impress everyone present at the exhibition. You can assemble a wonderful Christmas tree from long beads. It can be additionally decorated with large beads, which will serve as Christmas tree decorations.

To add variety to the winter forest, you can build a small house. Various materials are also suitable for this. An interesting solution would be to use ear sticks. They are quite comfortable to work with and the end result looks great. Another popular material for making houses is popsicle sticks. If a lot of them have accumulated over the summer, it’s worth building a house. This craft is easy to do. The sticks need to be glued together, and then the roof must be built. The top should be draped with cotton wool and sprinkled with glitter. Such a house in the forest will look just wonderful.

Snowman made of threads

It's hard to imagine real winter without such a character as a snowman. He can become the main character for a winter craft for kindergarten. There can be several options for making snowmen:

  1. The first option involves using cotton pads and thread with a needle. First you need to take 5-6 disks and thread a thread in the middle. An alternative way would be to use a stapler. The main thing is to keep everything in the middle. Next, you should fluff the workpiece, but carefully so that it does not fall apart. Then, using scissors, the cotton ball is given a rounded shape. You need to make a pair of such balls, and then connect them together.

The blank is decorated with a plasticine carrot nose and eyes. Hands can be made from sticks. You can also put on a kind of hat for the snowman, the role of which will be played by the cap of a water bottle.

  1. The second option involves using threads, small balloons and PVA glue. One of the most important tasks here will be the correct selection of the size of the balls. One of them should be larger, and the second one should be slightly smaller. Additionally, you can take 4 very small balls.

Next, take a white thread, soak it in glue, and then you need to randomly wrap it around each ball. Then the workpieces are left alone for a while, since the PVA must dry completely. After the thread has hardened with glue, you need to pierce the ball and carefully remove the rubber residue. It is important that during this time the thread blank remains in its original shape.

As a result of the work done, you should get 6 balls of different diameters. The largest one will be the body of a snowman. The smaller one needs to be glued on top, it will be the head. Next, all that remains is to make the arms and legs from small balls. The snowman is decorated with a nose and eyes, which can be made from plasticine or polymer clay. Additionally, a knitted hat and scarf are put on the toy. It turns out to be a very interesting craft made from simple and affordable materials.

New Year's crafts for kindergarten

If the exhibition is dedicated specifically to a holiday, then there will be a lot of options for creating crafts.

For example, you can make a three-dimensional ball out of colored paper. Making such a craft will not take more than 5 minutes. To do this, you just need to cut out several strips of colored paper, then fasten them in the center so that they form a sun. Next, the ends of the paper strips are connected at the top. Here you should attach a ring, by which the ball can be hung on the Christmas tree.

In a more complex version, the Christmas ball is made from two plastic bottles. From them it is necessary to leave only the bottoms (3-4 centimeters higher). The blanks are combined into a single whole. After this, you can take paints and color the ball. Additionally, you should use glue and glitter to give the product a festive look. At the top you need to attach a string on which the ball will be held when they decorate the Christmas tree in kindergarten.

Recently, a wreath has become a fairly popular option for New Year's crafts. It can be made very quickly if you prepare a circle of cardboard and then wrap it with tinsel. Additionally, the craft is decorated with pine cones, small toys, buttons, etc. The whole job takes no more than half an hour, so this is a great option for busy parents.

Joint family activities always have a very beneficial effect on the atmosphere in the house. And making crafts on New Year's Eve is a long-standing wonderful tradition in many families. But despite all its apparent simplicity, this work is quite painstaking, and it requires a lot of time and effort. But you won't sacrifice anything for this fun, meaningful activity. After all, such a pastime unites the hearts of all family members. And because adults and children do New Year’s crafts, the kids will not only get a lot of joy, but will also try very hard to make their parents like their work. Therefore, it is important to choose craft options in which the child can fully express himself. You also need to correctly distribute responsibilities, assigning the leading role to the baby. And believe me: your efforts will not be in vain.

One of the simple New Year's crafts can be GRANDFATHER'S CLAUS, which requires a walnut and an apple to make. These delicious decorations can be placed under the tree or on a holiday table. A head is made from a walnut, on which a face is painted. The sharp end of the nut is the neck. Then you need to attach cotton wool hair and the same beard. The cap is made from a triangular piece of felt rolled into a cone and glued together, a cotton wool pompom is attached to its top and the cap is glued to the head. After this, a large red apple is carefully polished with a napkin. A drop of glue drips onto his tail and the head is glued on. If the family has small children who are used to testing everything, then the glue can be replaced with caramel or gelatin. You can also use a toothpick to connect the parts.

DIY winter crafts

If you took up DIY winter crafts you can make very cute SNOWFLAKES. Moreover, they can also be very different in terms of complexity. For example, simple ones - from a sheet of paper, folded into a corner and cut off in the center and along the edges (either with a simple notch or more complex figures). Snowflakes can be made voluminous if, according to the standard principle, you fold a sheet of paper several times through the center onto a corner, and then make counter cuts in a checkerboard pattern, but not reaching the edge of the opposite side. In such a snowflake, the top may not be cut off, but the opposite side is cut with a simple straight cut, parallel to the counter cuts. After unfolding, the resulting corners are gently folded one after another towards the center and glued. Unused corners are wrapped on the other side of the product. It turns out to be a beautiful lush snowflake. You can make this constant winter attribute from beads and beads. The central circles are made from small beads, and the upper circles are made from ordinary beads. Such a snowflake must be woven from the central circle. You need to take a needle with a fishing line, put 5 beads on it, close it in a ring, and then put on another 5 beads, from which you again make loops. They need to be attached to the beads in the central circle, and then gradually increase the number of beads collected, and the loops should be attached to the already formed petals. Wire is also suitable for beaded snowflakes, which will make the decoration smoother. Such a snowflake will not bend and will be more convenient to hang on the Christmas tree. This is also better because with this weaving you do not need to put a needle on the wire.
