The limited edition Dames de Table is the famous creation of perfumer Thierry Wasser, framed by the famous glass manufacturer Baccarat and the couture atelier Dames de Table.
In 1913, in honor of his "new temple of beauty" Guerlain at 68 Champs-Elysées, Jacques Guerlain created a bottle in the shape of a turtle, ironically alluding to the protracted construction work that delayed its opening. The crystal vessel had more than eighty facets, entirely handmade, and was rightfully the embodiment of the traditions and craftsmanship of the Baccarat atelier. After more than a hundred years, the perfume house once again turned to the ancient glass manufactory to create a new edition of the legendary 60 ml crystal bottle.
The special bottle contains an equally exceptional composition in extract concentration, created by the legendary perfumer Thierry Wasser. The floral-spicy woody aroma opens with fresh notes of mandarin and pink pepper, turning into the fragrance of fruity osmanthus accords. The warm immortelle that replaces them is combined with incense, warm vanilla and tonka bean.
The PetiteTortue bottle can be decorated with the client's initials - they are applied to an enamel cap in the color chosen by the owner with a gold-plated frame. Guerlain entrusted the framing of the bottles to the Desrues atelier, which has been making Haute Couture jewelry since 1936. The Dames de Table packers, who possess the secrets of exceptional craftsmanship, skillfully tied and combed the silk threads that complete the design of the “Little Turtle” bottle. This traditional barbichage technique, which requires special skill, turns the bottle into a real work of art. There are only 47 numbered PetiteTortue bottles available worldwide, each crystal creation costs €9,500.
