Egg face mask – professional home care. Egg face masks for blackheads, wrinkles, acne

February 23

Cosmetic masks with the addition of eggs for the face have a wide range of applications: they are suitable for people with dry, oily skin, and also relieve wrinkles and inflammation on the face. Such compositions are more affordable compared to professional care products, and also have simple recipes.

Indications for the use of egg masks

Egg whites and yolks are used in cosmetic products because eggs contain many beneficial substances: collagen, amino acids, vitamins, micro- and macroelements.

  • Oily skin. You can determine this in the following ways: run your fingers over your forehead or nose and see if the fat remains on your fingers, or stand in front of a mirror and take a closer look to see if the skin is shiny.
  • Various inflammatory rashes on the skin.
  • Wrinkles, stretch marks, loose areas of skin.
  • Excessively dry skin, flaking.
  • Dull, grayish complexion.

General principles for using a protein mask

You can use different eggs as the main ingredient of the mask: chicken and quail. The latter will require much more due to their size, but their composition is richer.

Yolk and white differ in their effects. Protein masks dry the face, tighten and get rid of blackheads, which often appear with oily skin. Protein is sticky and thick, so it can attract things that soap and water do not remove: fine dust, dirt clogged in the pores.

Protein includes:

  • amino acids that normalize the sebaceous glands, reduce sweating and regulate metabolism;
  • vitamins B12, B5 and B2.

The yolk has the opposite properties of protein; it contains substances valuable for the skin., namely:

  • vitamin A, which restores skin elasticity and youth;
  • lecithin, which gives strength to the skin and also increases its elasticity;
  • phosphorus and sodium, which provide skin protection;
  • vitamin D, which improves the permeability of nutrients.

Because of this composition, the yolk has a moisturizing, protective, and softening effect. Due to its properties, the yolk is recommended for use by people with dry and thin skin, and is contraindicated for those with oily skin.

For combination and normal skin, whole eggs are suitable. If some part of the face is oily and the other is dry, then you need to make 2 masks and apply them selectively.

Rules for using egg masks

  • Only fresh eggs should be used. This means that you need to break eggs immediately before use and do not put broken eggs in the refrigerator. Otherwise, they will lose some of their properties or may deteriorate.
  • Before breaking, the shell must be washed with cold water and wiped with a thin towel so as not to damage it. Even if eggs are purchased in packages and look clean, they need to be washed.
  • Before adding an egg to the mask, you should first break it into a separate bowl and check that no pieces of shell get into the yolk or white and that the yolk does not spoil.
  • The egg must be intact, there should be no cracks or visible damage on it.
  • Before use, you must wash your face with soap so that dirt does not interfere with the absorption of substances.
  • The skin around the eyes is sensitive, so do not apply an egg mask around them.
  • The mask must be washed off only with water at a temperature of 20 degrees or below. Otherwise, the egg may be boiled.
  • It is not recommended to wear a mask for more than 40 minutes. (sometimes less - depends on the components), and during this time you need to lie down and try to relax your facial muscles.

You should pay attention to the presence of an allergic reaction to the components of the mask. For example, flower honey is rich in phytoncides, to which allergies are possible. Also, the skin may react poorly to juices containing acids.

After using a warm mask, the pores will be steamed and enlarged, so it is not recommended to go outside or open windows for half an hour to prevent dust from getting into the pores. After use, redness of the skin is considered a normal reaction.

Masks must be applied regularly, but use more than 2 times a week can have a harmful effect on the condition of the skin.

Recipes for dry skin

An egg face mask for dry skin aims to hydrate and restore cells, because dry skin often cracks and flakes.

Masks are made from chicken or quail yolk, as they are rich in fat.

Honey mask with egg

Ingredients:

  • 15 ml warm honey;
  • 1 egg;
  • 15 ml warm oil (olive, vegetable, castor).

You need to first break the egg into a bowl, separate the yolk from it, then add butter to it, and only after that add honey so that it does not stick to the walls of the bowl. The mixture should be stirred until it becomes a homogeneous mass. The resulting mask will be viscous and dense. Keep it on your face for 15-20 minutes.

Fruit mask with yolk

Ingredients:

  • fruits (bananas, oranges, apples);
  • 1 egg.

The selected fruits need to be grated and the egg yolk added to them. Stir the mixture until a sticky dough forms. Applying the mask is most effective for 20-25 minutes. Afterwards, rinse the mixture off your face thoroughly.

For oily

Salt mask with protein

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 eggs;
  • coarse sea salt.

It is necessary to extract the white from the egg and beat it to form a white mass. Then add salt and stir until it dissolves. The mask should be applied by rubbing into the skin using a cloth.

Sour cream and egg mask

Ingredients:

  • 30 ml of liquid low-percentage sour cream;
  • 1 egg.

The egg white needs to be beaten, gradually adding sour cream to it. After this, apply the mixture with smooth movements. Should be kept for 20-25 minutes.

Clay mask

Ingredients:

  • chamomile decoction;
  • 1 egg;
  • blue clay.

Blue clay should be diluted with chamomile infusion and the white separated from the yolk should be poured into it. Apply to the skin with light movements and hold until the mask dries, and at this time you need to lie on your back. Then you should wash off the clay with warm water. To remove the film-thin layer of remaining clay, you need to wet a rough towel and wipe your face with it.

To tighten pores

Eggs can also tighten pores. Dirt easily gets into enlarged pores, causing blackheads and pimples to appear. After cleansing your facial skin, you need to tighten the pores, and a protein mask will help with this.

With lemon juice

Ingredients:

  • 20 ml lemon juice;
  • 1 egg.

Lemon juice is added to the protein and mixed thoroughly. Instead of lemon, you can also use aloe juice. You need to apply it to your face using gauze or a brush, because the mixture will be liquid. Keep the mask on for 15 minutes.

Cranberry mask

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 ml cranberry juice;
  • 1 egg.

Cranberry juice dries out the skin very much, so this mask is recommended for people with oily skin. You need to keep the mask on for 5 minutes, because otherwise peeling may occur. It is advisable to remove the mask with a decoction of green tea.

For acne with honey

An egg face mask can help get rid of acne: this requires those ingredients that dry the skin and have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects.

Since acne often appears on oily skin, the base of the mask should be egg white. If acne appears on combination skin, it is necessary to add both white and yolk to the composition.

Simple honey mask

Ingredients:

  • 15 ml bee dense honey;
  • 1 egg.

The egg must first be beaten and then immediately add honey to the mixture. The mask should be homogeneous, so you will have to mix thoroughly. You can leave the mask in a water bath so that the honey becomes warm and elastic. It must be applied in one layer, and it is recommended to remove it with a swab. Honey will attract dirt and relieve inflammation, and protein will dry the skin.

Lemon acne mask

Ingredients:

  • 5 drops of tocopherol solution;
  • 3 ml lemon juice;

  • 1 egg;
  • 5 ml of warm viscous honey.

Add pre-whipped egg whites to the honey and mix thoroughly. When the mixture becomes homogeneous, you need to add lemon juice and tocopherol solution. It is not advisable to keep the mask on for more than 10 minutes. It is effective, but if used frequently it can cause allergies, so you should use it no more than once every 1.5 weeks.

With lemon

Lemon juice contains vitamin C and acids that dry out the skin. Therefore even for oily skin you need to add a whole egg to the lemon, and for dry skin - white. Otherwise, the skin may begin to peel.

But lemon also nourishes the skin:

  • rejuvenates the face;
  • improves blood metabolism;
  • strengthens the skin;
  • dries wounds, pimples and blackheads;
  • cleanses pores.

Lemon in combination with an egg has a complex effect on the skin: lemon cleanses pores, while the yolk restores the skin.

Lemon mask

Ingredients:

  • 15 ml lemon juice;
  • 20 ml sour cream;
  • chamomile decoction;
  • 2 eggs.

All ingredients must be mixed to form a thick mask. If the mask comes out too liquid to apply, you can add more sour cream. Apply the mixture for 15 minutes. It is advisable to remove it with a decoction.

Using herbs

Ingredients:

  • dry chamomile, yarrow, St. John's wort;
  • dried hop cones;
  • 1 small lemon;
  • 15 ml honey;
  • 2 eggs.

All herbs should be added to a glass, 1 tsp each. and pour boiling water (250 ml). After a day, the broth should be filtered and heated over low heat or steamed. After this, squeeze lemon juice into a clean broth, add honey and eggs. The mixture should be moved carefully. Apply to the skin preferably with a small cloth and leave for 25-30 minutes.

With starch

Starch contains substances beneficial to the skin, including:

  • antioxidants, including ascorbic acid;
  • choline, which provides skin hydration;
  • folic acid, responsible for skin protection;
  • niacin, which provides skin rejuvenation.

Thanks to this, starch has the following properties:

  • nutritious;
  • restorative;
  • moisturizing.

There are several recipes for masks.

With added lemon juice

Ingredients:

  • 10 g starch;
  • 5 ml lemon juice (or aloe);
  • 1 egg.

You need to add starch and juice to the protein. After this, the mixture is thoroughly mixed and applied to the face. Should be kept for 20-30 minutes.

For oily skin

Ingredients:

  • 10 g starch;
  • 1 egg.

Starch should be mixed with warm water so that a viscous sticky liquid is obtained. You need to rub the protein into it, and then mix again. The mask must be applied in layers. It is necessary to remove after a third of an hour with the same warm water.

With tea tree oil

Tea oil has pronounced antiseptic properties, heals and disinfects wounds well - in some cases even better than ethyl alcohol. Therefore, it is effective to use for pimples and blackheads.

Tea tree should be used carefully on the face, so when added to an egg mask, it is recommended to use it as one of the components of the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 drops of lavender oil;
  • 1 drop of chamomile oil;
  • 1 egg;
  • 6-7 drops of tea tree extract.

Add all the oils to the beaten egg and stir. The mask will be liquid, so you need to apply it with a brush. You can keep it for up to half an hour. Remove the mixture with cold water and then wipe your face with a soft towel.

For blackheads with sugar

Using scrubs is one of the proven ways to get rid of blackheads. A scrub is a mask or cream with coarse salt. If you rub it on your face, the blackheads will gradually disappear, as the scrub removes dead skin, dust and dirt particles that close the pores.

You also need to approach the choice of sugar responsibly:

  • The mask should be based on granulated sugar, but refined sugar is highly discouraged.

For an egg face mask, it is recommended to use granulated sugar.
  • For dry and weak skin, you should grind the sugar so that large grains do not injure it.

For a classic mask you will need:

  • 10 ml sugar;
  • 1 egg.

The protein must be mixed with sugar and beaten. It is not necessary to wait for the sugar to dissolve, since then the desired scrub will not form. The mask should be applied with massaging movements until the mixture sticks to the face. Remove the mask with warm clean water or chamomile decoction.

Face mask with egg white and napkin

You can make a nourishing fabric mask from an egg and a napkin. The napkin can be replaced with paper.

First you need to beat the egg white and apply it to the skin, then cover with a napkin. It is especially necessary to apply the napkin tightly to the forehead, bridge of the nose, wings of the nose and temples, since blackheads form in large numbers in these places.

After the napkin has laid on the skin, you need to apply the protein on top of it again. When the mask dries, you need to rip it off your face with a sharp movement. Black spots and dirt will remain on the napkin.

Anti-wrinkle

An egg mask for the face against wrinkles tightens the skin of the face and makes it firm and elastic. The mask can also help get rid of a double chin due to its composition: amino acids will improve tissue permeability, and fat deposits will begin to disappear faster.

Gelatin mask

Ingredients:

  • 15 g dry gelatin;
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) water;
  • 1 egg.

Gelatin must be stirred in cool water and infused in a water bath. If it is not possible to use this method, then gelatin can be poured with boiling water. The mixture must be left until the gelatin has completely absorbed the water.

Next, you need to cool it to a temperature of about 20 degrees and add the pre-whipped protein. It is necessary to lower the temperature, because otherwise the egg will curdle and the mask will be of no use. You need to keep the mask for 30-35 minutes.

Banana mask

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana;
  • 1 egg.

Crush the banana in a bowl with a fork or spoon (or beat with a mixer) so that no lumps remain. You need to add an egg to the resulting porridge and mix. The mask will be very thick, so it should be applied like a cream. Keep it on your face for no more than 15 minutes.

As you can see, an egg face mask is a great and very affordable way to improve the condition of your skin. In addition, these masks have no contraindications and are almost universal - you can add any components.

In folk cosmetology, the egg is used to eliminate various skin defects; it is even used to treat psoriasis. It contains a number of useful micro and macroelements, amino acids, vitamins that have a beneficial effect on the condition of the skin. Egg masks are divided into several groups: from whites, from yolks, from whole eggs. Each mask works differently, since the chemical composition of the protein and yolk is different.

Yolk value

The yolk softens, moisturizes, tones and provides nutrition to the skin. It is used for dry, aging skin. It not only restores youth, but also restores and cleanses the epidermis.

  • Vitamin A. Is the main component of the yolk. Actively affects skin hydration, eliminates seasonal or age-related dryness, and removes peeling on the face.
  • B vitamins. They have anti-inflammatory properties, so egg yolk masks help in the fight against acne, blackheads and other skin rashes.
  • Vitamin D. Slows down the aging process, which occurs at the cellular level. Prevents the appearance of wrinkles, thereby prolonging the youth of the skin.
  • Lecithin. Performs a protective function, increasing the level of skin resistance to external factors. Protects the skin from the effects of sunlight, polluted environment, toxins and chemicals and temperature changes.
  • Sodium. Promotes the transport of nutrients to their destination, helps cells absorb beneficial components.
  • Iron. Normalizes blood circulation, providing the skin with the necessary oxygen supply, which gives tone and elasticity.
  • Calcium. Evens out the texture of problematic skin, smoothes out marks.

Protein value

Protein starts the process of restoring damaged skin areas, promotes regeneration, has a beneficial effect on skin rejuvenation and controls the production of subcutaneous fat. Protein-based egg masks are suitable for people with oily skin, as protein dries out the skin and tightens pores.

  • Carbohydrates and fats.
  • Gives skin radiance and protects against external factors.
  • Glucose. Positively affects the color of the skin. Retains moisture in tissue cells, preventing dehydration.
  • B vitamins. Enzymes.

Biocatalysts enhance the drying effect. Thanks to enzymes, the skin is transformed and glows from the inside.

They help in the fight against inflammatory processes, soothe and treat irritated skin.

  4. Stress.
  5. Scientists have proven that any nervous experiences affect the chemical composition of subcutaneous fat, resulting in clogged pores. It is necessary to normalize your psycho-emotional state, then getting rid of comedones will be much easier. Bad habits.

Alcoholic drinks and smoking provoke improper functioning of the sebaceous glands, which contributes to the appearance of skin problems.

  • After applying the composition, the facial muscles should be relaxed. Eliminate all emotions and lie quietly. Reapplication.

Benefits of protein for facial skin

This food product has very valuable qualities and properties. A protein mask is made quickly, and the result is observed after two or three uses.

  1. For those with oily skin, they help get rid of acne and blackheads, providing anti-inflammatory and bactericidal properties. The effect is primarily exerted by conalbumin, a strong bactericidal agent. Egg white is also used for the face because it contains B vitamins and minerals.
  2. Among the indications for use are skin restoration: the products smooth out wrinkles, folds, and the dermis is slightly whitened. Perhaps this is why chicken eggs are used both in the décolleté area and around the eyes. Light lifting is guaranteed even in adulthood, since the substances contained in the protein actively tone the skin and cope with its withering.
  3. Protein gets rid of problematic blackheads, cleanses and tightens, so it is less suitable for dry skin.

Benefits of yolk for facial skin

Egg yolk has different effects for different skin types. Thus, dry, aging skin requires increased nutrition and hydration, which can be achieved with the help of yolk products.

  1. This component contains substances that prevent the process of aging and fading of the dermis. Vitamin A, which is very abundant in the yolk, maintains the optimal moisture level of the epidermis. Moisture deficiency leads to flaking and dryness.
  2. The contained lecithin gently tones. It also stabilizes the natural defenses of the dermis and improves the passage of nutrients. Thanks to this quality, yolk masks are used for normal skin.

Important advice from the editors

If you want to improve the condition of your hair, you should pay special attention to the shampoos you use. A frightening figure - 97% of shampoos from well-known brands contain substances that poison our body. The main components due to which all the troubles on the labels are designated as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, coco sulfate. These chemicals destroy the structure of the curls, the hair becomes brittle, loses elasticity and strength, and the color fades. But the worst thing is that this nasty stuff gets into the liver, heart, lungs, accumulates in organs and can cause cancer. We advise you not to use products that contain these substances. Recently, experts from our editorial team conducted an analysis of sulfate-free shampoos, where products from Mulsan Cosmetic took first place. The only manufacturer of completely natural cosmetics. All products are manufactured under strict quality control and certification systems. We recommend visiting the official online store mulsan.ru. If you doubt the naturalness of your cosmetics, check the expiration date; it should not exceed one year of storage.

  • Lemon, sour apple, pomegranate, grapefruit or berry juice added to protein are good for degreasing the skin. But they lighten things up a bit, so you need to take that into account.
  • You can mix whipped protein with kefir, yogurt or yogurt without additives, sugar or fillers. Recipe: pour a couple of tablespoons of the milk component into one beaten egg. The mass is applied for 12–15 minutes and washed off with cool water.

Sensitive skin may become red due to the strong effects of this ingredient.

The beneficial properties of quail eggs were noticed in Asia many centuries ago. They are richer in minerals than chicken, so they are also often used for masks. Using quail eggs on the face helps smooth and prevent the development of wrinkles and restore natural skin tone. This component can be used even if the dermis is highly sensitive. Face mask with egg and lemon

By itself, lemon juice is too strong for facial treatment. It dries the skin very much, whitens it, and produces a peeling effect. But in combination with an egg, especially the yolk, it is an excellent remedy for rejuvenation and cleansing. Eggs and lemon help to simultaneously cleanse and nourish the dermis.

  1. 1 yolk is beaten and added 0.5 tbsp. l. lemon juice and olive oil. The mask is left on the face for up to 15 minutes and washed off with cold water.
  2. The yolks of two eggs are mixed with a tablespoon of lemon juice and sour cream. The thick mixture is applied like a cream for 20 minutes. It is advisable to wash off the mask with a herbal decoction and then apply a compress of cold black tea. This will help relieve possible irritation from the organic acids contained in lemon.

Egg face mask for acne

In folk recipes against acne, egg is often used as one of the basic ingredients.

So, to cleanse the face with an egg against inflammation and acne, take:

Face mask with egg and olive oil

For a combination type, an egg mask for facial skin with the addition of 1 teaspoon of olive oil (or avocado) and honey is suitable. The resulting mass is ground with a spoonful of low-fat cottage cheese or sour cream. After 15 minutes, the mask is washed off with water. This composition will not only help remove oily shine, but also enrich the dermis with nutrients. If a light peeling is required from the mask, then ground oatmeal is added instead of cottage cheese.

Face mask made from eggs and toilet paper or napkins

This method is based on the principle of cleansing strips that remove blackheads and sebum. In addition, the tone of the face is evened out and redness is reduced.

  • 1 small egg;
  • paper napkins, towels or toilet paper;
  • scissors.

Small pieces of napkins are cut out for problem areas (forehead, nose). The separated whites and yolks are whipped in separate containers. Protein is applied to the cleansed face, and paper blanks are glued on top. You can also apply the protein to napkins. After half an hour, when the napkin with the protein mass hardens, you need to sharply tear it off. Next, you need to wash your face, rinse off any remaining whites and apply the yolk for 10 minutes. It will soften and moisturize the skin after a painful procedure. The benefits of an egg mask are obvious: blackheads literally remain on the napkin, completely disappearing from the face.

Egg face masks for blackheads

This egg mask is simple, yet very effective in combating blackheads. Add a tablespoon of sugar to one egg white. The product is whipped until smooth and applied to the skin. We advise you to familiarize yourself with other sugar face masks.

It is important to observe some subtleties:

  • After applying the first layer, you need to let it dry. Then the remaining mass is applied to the face and lightly pounded into the skin with the pads of the fingers. The sticky mass will draw out blackheads.
  • Patting should be done until the product completely hardens.
  • Protein in combination with sugar dries the skin very much, so for those with dry skin it is better to apply it only to problem areas. Oily skin requires treatment of the entire face.
  • Regularity of use: twice a week. This will keep your skin in perfect condition at all times.

Egg and oatmeal face mask

Oatmeal is simply an excellent source of nutrients. A whole egg for the face, together with this herbal ingredient, nourishes the epidermis well and moisturizes it.
