How to apply acrylic powder to gel. Strengthening nails with acrylic powder

Church holidays

What is this

Acrylic powder is a discovery that came into the field of beauty products from the medical field, namely dentistry. Initially, this durable and at the same time porous material was used to make the most common dental fillings, and later the development began to be used as a raw material for creating three-dimensional forms - nail extensions.

Types of powder

It is useful to know that there are different types of powder, each of which is responsible for performing its own function. Today the product range includes five types.

Matte and transparent - classic options. This powder consists of the smallest porous particles, allowing you to create a reliable base coat if necessary to strengthen your nails, and gives the most natural effect during extensions. Often used in French manicure, volumetric sculpting, and aquarium extensions.

Colored powder is mainly used in nail design. This lightweight but durable material is quite flexible and does not require additional layers for fixation. A rich palette of shades provides the opportunity to embody the most interesting ideas of the master, draw a pattern, design or make an applique. The manicure turns out original and not at all heavy.

Camouflage powder, as the name suggests, is intended for “cosmetic repair” of nails. Being dense in texture and as close as possible to the natural shade of the nails in color, camouflage powder masks defects, fills cracks, and evens out the tone of the nail plate.

Neon is the raw material for sculptural modeling and bold nail design. This powder can be successfully combined with other materials, is distinguished by bright, rich and unusual shades, and has an opaque base. Neon manicure flickers in ultraviolet light.

Glitter – powder with added glitter. The number one assistant in holiday nail art, but in reasonable quantities it can also be used in everyday life, as a highlight of a simple manicure. Despite the presence of glitter particles in the composition, it stays on the nails no worse than any other acrylic powder.

Features and Benefits

Acrylic quickly gained popularity and remains the favorite material of many craftsmen due to its unique properties and versatility.

In addition to the fact that it is highly wear-resistant, hypoallergenic, and the finish is practically indistinguishable from natural nails, this material does not require the use of a lamp when applying extensions. Polymerization occurs at the moment of interaction with a monomer or liquid - a special liquid that helps transform acrylic powder into a thick plastic substance. The monomer ensures easy application, after which you can build any shape of the extended nails until the substance dries and becomes hard.

The second method is the most relevant - strengthening nails with acrylic. If the nails are thin or the gel polish does not last longer than two days, acrylic powder will come to the rescue. It is noteworthy that neither acrylic nor auxiliary components affect the internal structure of the nail; they only increase the resistance of the nail plate to harmful influences and injuries.

And the third is the use of acrylic powder for design. With its help, you can create matte and smooth surfaces, voluminous textures, unusual patterns, imitate velvet, a “suede” effect, and the illusion of a “knitted” manicure. And in combination with neon, such beauty is guaranteed to attract attention.

How to use it correctly

The technology for applying powder acrylic is quite simple. It is easy to work with even at home, but some processes require certain skills and dexterity, since the product quickly sets and hardens, reacting with the monomer. The monomer itself has a characteristic chemical odor, so particularly sensitive ladies are advised to work in a well-ventilated area, or use dry acrylic powder only for strengthening and nail art.

Building up

Acrylic extensions involve performing several steps one by one.

Nail preparation includes all stages of trimming or hardware manicure and removing fat from the nail plates. Next, a color or base transparent powder is selected, a primer is applied, and tips are attached on which the desired shape will be created. Then, a small drop of acrylic mass made from powder and monomer is applied to the nail with a brush and the desired length and shape of the tip is drawn. After the mass hardens, the tips are carefully removed. As a final step, it is necessary to eliminate irregularities and defects, correct the shape with a nail file and polish the nails.

If desired, you can apply a design.

Strengthening nails

Next you will need a primer. The problematic nail plate can be covered entirely, if the condition is normal, limit yourself to the side ridges. After the primer, a base coat is applied in a thin layer; it should not be diluted with anything, and then comes the most important stage - powdering. To do this, without drying the base in the lamp, generously sprinkle the nails with acrylic using a manicure brush or spatula. It is better to turn the nail so that the powder evenly covers the base.

Having shaken off the excess powder, you need to send your nails for polymerization in a lamp, and after drying, carefully treat them with a special manicure brush, removing loose particles of acrylic powder from the nail plate.

Small defects can be smoothed out with a sander. It is important to reproduce all these actions step by step.

The following options are possible: re-coat the nails with the base, and then use the next layer (gel polish or shellac), or apply gel polish directly over the fixed powder. Professionals recommend the second option, because thanks to the rough surface, the gel polish will neither spread nor shrink, and the coating will harden smooth and beautiful. It should be remembered that gel polish is not diluted with acrylic powder.

At the final stage, you can choose a shade. Instead of colored gel polish, you can use a transparent gel polish and top coat, then the result will be a delicate natural manicure on strengthened nails.

Design

Nail art and design are the most extensive area of application for acrylic powder. As a rule, colored powder of various spectrums, properties and consistencies is used here, with which you can create simple and intricate designs, monochrome coatings of interesting shades, relief patterns and volumetric decor, glossy and satin elements in various combinations. In addition to the acrylic itself, additional decorative elements are used: rhinestones, sparkles, feathers, stickers, liquid stones.

Several methods of applying a design with acrylic material are common: manually, relying on the artistic talent and experience of a manicurist, and using special stencils. You can also create a beautiful manicure yourself, all you need is patience, supplies and tools.

It doesn’t matter if you can’t immediately decide how to design your nails. Examples of the works of nail art masters can be a source of ideas for manicure. They will inspire any beginner to create and embody their own image, and the richness and variety of the material is so great that even the most extraordinary fantasies can be turned into reality.

Design ideas

Nude shades and velvet texture

Natural colors and shades of nudes are the most popular. This option is suitable for most cases, it looks fresh, neat and gentle. The base is usually muted pastel colors, and the pattern is applied in a slightly brighter color. This is done so that the texture of the acrylic pattern is clearly visible on the light base. This manicure is suitable for lovers of classics, feminine and romantic natures, and office employees with a strict dress code.

Matte

Glossy coating has long lost its leading position. Today, satin and manicure with a matte effect are more relevant.

Bright nail art with drawings

An option for a more interesting coating than monochrome satin or gloss. The abundance of materials for creativity allows you to play with shades, relief and combination of textures. An acrylic pattern on shiny nails or a voluminous matte pattern on the same surface will look equally beautiful and original.

Focus on one or more nails

Until recently, the most current trend was to focus on the ring finger or several nails at once. The peak of popularity of this manicure has passed, but the idea itself has caught on and similar combinations are still quite common. There are also many worthy options here that you can use as the basis for your own manicure.

Gradient manicure

Drawing smooth transitions from one color to another on your nails has become much easier with the advent of acrylic in powder format. If varnishes are not suitable for implementing this idea, then the dusty texture can be easily shaded and creates the desired effect of a smooth flow of colors. To perform a multi-color manicure, you just need a good brush, a set of acrylic powder in your preferred colors and a base coat - varnish, gel polish or shellac.

Considering the incredible number of color combinations, gradient manicure can be called one of the most successful options.

Volumetric elements and texture

Acrylic modeling and applying texture is a difficult and time-consuming process that requires special skills and long practice. A decorative element for such a manicure is created directly on the nail or the acrylic ball is given the desired shape using foil or paper. Then the element is carefully glued to the tip of the nail or to the sides, and not to all nails, but only to some, for example, the ring and big ones.

In addition to acrylic parts, rhinestones, sparkles, stones and other decorations can be used to create volume.

How to remove acrylic coating

For all its advantages, acrylic coating sooner or later loses its appearance and wears out. After three to four weeks, it is necessary to free the nails, and this must be done carefully and according to all the rules.

To remove acrylic, you need to use a special liquid. For convenience, you can soak foam sponges or cotton pads with it and fix them on your nails using special clips in the form of clothespins. After a quarter of an hour, the remaining acrylic can be removed with an orange stick.

If you don’t have a special tool at hand, under no circumstances should you try to tear off the artificial material. It is better to carefully file the acrylic coating with a soft file so as not to damage the original plate.

Brand overview

When choosing beauty products, the quality of the material plays a paramount role. Today, beauty salons use products from various brands, focusing on the quality of the coating, natural ingredients in the composition and minimizing the unpleasant odor. Most professionals and clients prefer products from the leading South Korean brand TNL Professional, which produces high-quality consumables and equipment. An amazing find for those who are careful about their finances, but want their manicure to look expensive and dignified.

The line of acrylic powder from TNL contains a large palette of shades: bright, translucent, glossy, pearlescent, glitter, matte, holographic and metallic. The consistency of the products is pleasant and easy to apply, so the manicure looks chic for both professionals and amateurs. After application, the coating wears well and withstands any contact with water and household chemicals; can be removed with a special liquid without any extra effort.

The products of this manufacturer are successfully combined both within the line and with other brands, but significantly benefit in terms of price. The cost of a 10 ml bottle of TNL compared to the price of a bottle of a famous brand will be 3-4 times cheaper without loss of quality. For this reason, the brand is in demand among both professionals and beginners.

There is an excellent solution for girls with fragile or thin nails, for whom any manicure does not last long - you must first strengthen your nails with acrylic powder. How to do this correctly under gel polish - our step-by-step instructions.

What is acrylic powder and why is it needed?

This is a synthetic powder created from acrylic acid, characterized by useful characteristics:

  • high thermoplasticity - does not soften even at high temperatures;
  • strengthens any foundation;
  • protects from frost, sunlight and household chemicals.

Procedure for strengthening nails with acrylic powder

Is used for:

  • nail design - you can create three-dimensional designs, achieve the effect of “powdered sugar” or “velvet sand” - see the photo of a beautiful and elegant manicure;

Acrylic powder in nail design

  • strengthening fragile and brittle nails;
  • strong coverage of thin, weakened or thin nails;
  • for leveling and smoothing uneven nail surfaces.

Important. Even gel polish, which usually lasts about two weeks, on fragile nails can quickly chip, or even peel off or fall off with parts of your own nails. Therefore, strengthening the nail plate in many cases is a very necessary procedure.

Acrylic powder reduces the likelihood of nail chipping

Strengthening with acrylic powder is used very often:

  • for girls with very thin nails, which, when growing, begin to lose shape and curl or bend;
  • for those who have poor and short-lived coverage of any kind;

The procedure increases the wear resistance of gel polish

  • for ladies with fragile nails prone to splitting;
  • for women who like to work around the house, plant flowers, wash dishes and floors without gloves.

Acrylic powder strengthens brittle and flaking nails

Type of acrylic powder:

  • colorless (transparent) - just what is needed for strengthening procedures or natural manicure, French design;

  • colored - for nail design;

  • camouflage – for masking cracks, grooves and other defects of the nail plate;

  • finishing – matte or shiny (glitter can be of different sizes) – for a luxurious manicure.

Manicure with acrylic powder

When applied decoratively, as a finishing layer, acrylic powder also gives strength to the nails, but this will not give a 100% result against brittleness. But when acrylic first models dense and hard nails, and then a luxurious design is created on top, then such a manicure will last longer than a simple gel polish.

Pros and cons of strengthening nails

Positive aspects of the procedure:

  • strengthening;
  • nails look natural and natural, without additional volume, without extensions;
  • elimination of microcracks and damage;
  • easy to adjust;
  • the procedure is simple and quick and can be done even at home;
  • The possibilities of using acrylic powder in design are enormous - this allows you to diversify an already boring manicure and come up with new ideas.

Beautiful manicure with colored acrylic powder

  • the procedure requires care and strict adherence to instructions;
  • The process of removing the reinforcing layer is quite complicated; acetone-containing products will not help. The acrylic layer is removed by filing.

Important. Acrylic powder does not heal, does not nourish, does not change the nail plate, and after removing the powder, the nails remain the same as they were.

Original nail design with acrylic powder

Acrylic powder is not cheap, but one jar will last a long time, especially if you use it carefully and shake off any excess powder crumbs back into the jar.

Strengthening nails with acrylic powder, step-by-step instructions

In addition to reading our instructions, you can watch a video where experts will show you how to properly strengthen your nails using acrylic powder for a regular manicure or gel polish.

Procedure steps:

  • nail preparation, hygienic manicure;
  • degreasing, giving the desired shape;
  • be sure to clean the surface of the pterygium (lower layer of the cuticle);
  • antiseptic treatment is a mandatory step;
  • apply a primer - it will help the adhesion of the nail plate and the artificial material;
  • apply the base gel in a thin layer over the entire surface, do not dry (it is better to choose thick silicone bases);
  • sprinkle the powder in an even, dense layer, for example, using a brush over the jar, so that all the excess can be poured back, or you can simply dip your fingers in the powder;

Clue. You don’t have to sprinkle the entire surface with powder, but only strengthen the weak areas – the free end and the side edges. Use a nail file to level and smooth out any unevenness with the base.

  • dry under a UV lamp (two to three minutes);
  • remove excess powder with a brush;
  • if you get bumps or pits, you need to grind the plate;
  • make a coating: if without decoration, simply apply a layer of top gel, which is dried with a lamp;
  • if decor is to be made on top, then it is better not to apply anything to the acrylic, but immediately coat it with a decorating gel varnish, which is best applied to acrylic. Do not forget to dry each layer;
  • apply the finishing coat, dry;
  • apply moisturizing oil or nourishing skin cream.

The final result of the procedure

Lifehack. Experienced craftsmen also practice another method of applying powder: mix acrylic powder with a base and apply with a brush as a liquid varnish with grains. This way, according to them, it is more convenient to distribute the powder over the nail plate.

Correcting the acrylic layer is much easier than with extensions. You just need to remove the decor and sand the surface. Apply the gel base, acrylic again and make a new decor.

Content

The once popular extension has gone out of fashion, replaced by a trend for natural nails coated with gel polish. However, not all girls can boast of an ideal nail plate, so the procedure for modeling it has not completely lost demand. Beauty salons offer manicures with acrylic powder, but who is this suitable for?

What is acrylic nail powder for?

This polymer material belongs to the group of acrylates and is used in modern extension procedures as one of the components of the modeling mixture. When combined with a special liquid (monomer), it forms a dense mass that hardens in air. Unlike gels, acrylic does not require a lead lamp.

The product has 3 main purposes:

  • crack repair;
  • plate modeling;
  • volumetric design.

Acrylic powder for strengthening nails and for extensions is the same product, but for the purpose of repair, a transparent version is often used. For full extensions, you need camouflages: a flesh-pink powder that completely covers the nail plate, but matches its natural color down to the nuances of the undertone. This step is taken to adjust the length of the bed. The same can be done with biogel, but it will have to be dried through a lamp.

Manicure powder provides the following benefits:

  • A connecting layer is created between the nail and the decorative coating (varnish, gel polish), which helps to increase its wearing life.
  • Nails become strong and dense.
  • Microcracks are filled, due to which the surface is leveled.

How to use acrylic powder to strengthen nails

The method of work is chosen based on the task at hand. If you look at the lessons that tell you how to strengthen your nails with acrylic powder, you will see that camouflage material is mainly used here. When subsequently applying gel polish, you can take any colored powder, and for repairs they often use transparent powder. There is also more than one means that transforms a bulk product into a plastic mass:

  • Monomer. A liquid with a pronounced aroma, used for extensions. Holds powder as tightly as possible.
  • Glue. Comes in kits offering at-home nail repairs with acrylic powder. The aroma is less pungent, the cost of the product and the volume of the bottle are lower, but the plate cannot be modeled.

How to strengthen your nails with acrylic powder under gel polish

Initially, you need to purchase not only the products discussed above, but also a degreaser, which is often a regular liquid for removing varnish, a bonder - a product that promotes adhesion, and a topcoat, which can easily be replaced with biogel. Tools: brush with bristle (no. 6 or 8 are optimal), file (120 and 180 grit), buff. If nails are strengthened with acrylic powder under gel polish, the cuticle cannot be cut. Masters advise you to familiarize yourself with detailed lessons before experimenting on your own.

Technology for preparing to work with acrylic:

  1. Trim the length with a coarse file, leaving a free edge.
  2. Remove shine with a soft file (180 grit).
  3. The plate is degreased with any chosen means and dried.

How to apply acrylic powder on nails? If you plan only to create an intermediate film for repair or strengthening:

  1. The monomer or glue is spread over the plate with a synthetic brush.
  2. The nail is immediately dipped into a jar of transparent acrylic powder, removed, and dried.
  3. Excess particles are shaken off the skin with a fan brush.
  4. When strengthening nails with acrylic powder under gel polish, the coating is applied immediately, but when working with regular polish, you will need an additional layer of gel as a base.

If you intend to adjust the shape or length in addition to strengthening, follow these steps:

  1. Pour the monomer into a small glass (sold in stores for manicurists, price around 50 rubles), dip the brush into it, squeeze on the side.
  2. Use the tip to scoop up powder, forming a ball, and place it on the plate.
  3. Level, creating an apex (highest point).
  4. Smooth with the flat of the brush and dry.

How to remove acrylic coating

Masters warn fashionistas: never try to tear off artificial material. Biogel has to be filed down; for acrylic, there is a special liquid in which you need to immerse your nails for a quarter of an hour (the time depends on the thickness of the layer), and then scrape them off with a stick. If you cannot find such a remedy, cut off the acrylic coating with a 100/120 grit file, but do it carefully, otherwise there is a risk of damaging the original plate.

Prices

In beauty salons and private craftsmen, the procedure is carried out at a budget price - slightly more expensive than shellac: 1000-1400 rubles. Doing it yourself will cost less, although the one-time investment will be significant: the price of a jar of powder from well-known American manufacturers is 450 rubles. for 21 g, the price of the monomer is much higher - 900 rubles. for 118 ml. Repair kits – 1100 rub.

After reviewing the videos from professionals offered in this block, you will be able to decide how to strengthen your nails under gel polish - acrylic or biogel, and how to properly prepare for this procedure. The masters will tell you how to achieve a neat and durable manicure, whether it is possible to apply regular varnish on an acrylic coating, and explain how to avoid the main mistakes women make when wearing artificial material and how to remove it.

Beautiful and healthy nails are the adornment of any woman. But, like everything else, they require special care and attention. In this article we will discuss strengthening nails with acrylic powder, as well as what this powder actually is and how to use it.

What is acrylic powder and what is it used for?

Acrylic powder is a polymer powder used for nail extension, strengthening and design. The product itself has a porous structure, so it does not impede air access to the nail plate. It also does not affect the cuticle and does not have any effect on it. Thanks to its properties, the powder does not allow nails to flake, crumble and prevents chipping. You can use it to strengthen your manicure; it is often applied under gel polish.

The product protects the nail plate from the negative influences of the external environment - frost, sun, as well as from light mechanical damage and the influence of household chemicals.

However, it is worth keeping in mind that the powder itself does not have a healing effect; it only creates a protective layer for the nails.

Thanks to the acrylic coating, the nails look shiny and beautiful. For fans of natural nails, you can simply apply a thin layer of acrylic and the effect of natural, well-groomed nails will last for several weeks.

Strengthening under gel polish

Very often, acrylic reinforcement is used before the shellac application procedure. This helps to avoid problems after applying the varnish, as well as extend the wear period. The powder fills all microcracks, increases the adhesion of shellac to the surface of the nail, and also evens out the relief. You can see how to properly strengthen your nails under gel polish in the video:

How to remove acrylic coating?

Many girls refrain from applying acrylic coating, fearing that they will have difficulties removing it later. However, this is a misconception. The process of removing the acrylic coating is much simpler than the process of applying it.

The first step is to remove the top shiny layer; this can be done carefully using a special nail file. Next, apply a special coating remover to a small piece of cotton wool, apply it to the nail plate, and tightly wrap each finger in foil. Next, you need to wait about 10 minutes and remove the remaining coating using an orange stick. If you can’t clean everything properly with a stick, you can either keep the nail in foil for a little longer with the remover, or use a soft nail file.

Interesting videos on the topic of the article:

Gel manicure has long been part of the everyday life of modern women. After all, for a real lady, beauty should be in everything, and hands occupy an important place in this list. Unfortunately, not all women are blessed by nature with strong and beautiful nails. However, thanks to the work of cosmetologists and chemists, this is now easy to fix. There are many ways that can help strengthen and restore even the most problematic nails. Lately, experts are increasingly talking about strengthening nails with acrylic powder. It is used to prevent delamination and improve the strength of nail plates, remaining almost invisible on them. In addition, this coating is distinguished by its durability and practicality.

Composition of acrylic powder

Acrylic powder is a synthetic material that consists of acrylic acid, which is used in the form of a fine powder. By using it for strengthening, it is possible to obtain unusually strong nail plates, without excessive thickening and unsightly appearance.

This material can be easily purchased at a cosmetic store at an affordable price. Despite the reasonable price tag, which often turns off girls who are skeptical about affordable cosmetics, acrylic powder is extremely effective in use.

Benefits of strengthening nails with acrylic powder

The main feature of acrylic is that after penetrating into various cracks and defects of the nail, it crystallizes and hardens, approximately the same pattern as with cement. J It helps strengthen and correct nail defects. If you carry out such procedures regularly, you can get rid of unwanted problems with the nail plate. It will gain elasticity, become strong and well-groomed.

For young girls, this material is just a godsend. After all, many people want to have beautiful hands with a good manicure. However, it is almost impossible to grow long nails with a thin, problematic nail covering. No matter how much you try, it won't work. After some time, they will still break or delaminate. Even if coated with a special varnish, the situation practically cannot be corrected, but acrylic can help solve this problem.

When covered with this material, it appears as if another nail of synthetic origin appears. It covers the natural nail plate from various influences. After this procedure, its strength is guaranteed. In addition, if everything is done correctly, the reinforcing layer is almost invisible.

So, we have the following positive qualities of the material:

  • it strengthens the nail cover;
  • nails acquire natural beauty;
  • all possible defects and cracks are hidden;
  • if there are flaws in the coating procedure, the situation can be easily corrected;
  • the material is convenient to use.

Now let's move on to the cons.

Flaws

The negative qualities of acrylic include:

  • rarely, but still possible, acrylic chipping from nails;
  • It is almost impossible to remove the material. No solvents can do this. Only the sawing process produces results;
  • acrylic is not a medicine, it does not heal, but simply eliminates a defect.

Types of acrylic powder

It is very important for the consumer to have an original, aesthetically beautiful manicure. For such purposes, manufacturers have developed polymers that can make it special, from an artistic point of view. The most common types of acrylic powder are:

  1. Colored– allows the master not to be limited in the choice of design in order to fully reveal his creative inspiration.
  2. Glitter powder– with its sparkles, it allows the coating to “shine”, attracting everyone’s attention to the hands of the owner of such an unusual manicure.
  3. Acrylic (matte transparent)– emphasizes the natural beauty of the nail, in which the hands look tender and sensual. This type is often used as a base for strengthening the nail plate.
  4. Camouflage– as the name suggests, with the help of this material you can hide various defects of the nail covering: various types of stains, scratches and cracks.
  5. Neon– is capable of reflecting ultraviolet rays, while glowing with an unusual gentle iridescence. One-love of all clubbers.
  6. Stained glass– gives a beautiful shine, similar to the sparkle of crystal or ice.

These materials are distinguished by a wide range of shades, which allows you to create the most unusual effects, volumes and shapes.

Technology of strengthening nails with acrylic powder

Acrylic powder is used not only to strengthen the nail plate, in order to make it harder and more attractive, but also to strengthen it before using gel polish. Both methods are similar to each other, with the exception of some aspects. As for the procedure, it is quite simple; any woman, if desired, can use it at home.

When considering how to use acrylic powder to strengthen nails, the following steps stand out:

    1. First of all, you need to do hygienic manicure. Carefully file your nails, select and shape them, and remove pterygia.
    2. Then removes the glossy surface from nails and wipe them from any dust that arises during grinding.
    3. After this, the nail plate treated with an antiseptic.
      Important! It is worth taking antiseptic measures seriously. After all, in the future the nails will be covered with gel coating or other material, which means it will last for quite a long time. Therefore, if an infection or fungus gets under it, the nail will be locked with pathogenic organisms and will be subject to destruction.
    4. Apply primer. This technique will make the nail surface porous, which means it will improve the adhesion of the synthetic material to natural keratin.
    5. Then apply base gel. You shouldn’t skimp on it, it should be thick.
    6. After the base has dried, apply acrylic powder to strengthen nails. It can be either colorless or any color shade. This does not affect its quality and properties. To avoid voids and unevenness, the material must be distributed as evenly as possible.
    7. The next step is drying the coating using a UF lamp. This usually takes 2-3 minutes.
    8. Then brush the nail covering gently remove acrylic residues.
    9. If, as a result of the work, the material was not applied evenly enough, you need to sand the surface to an even layer.
    10. Next, if further decoration is not provided, apply a top layer of gel, dry it under a lamp, and then remove the sticky layer.
    11. In the case of decoration, the top is not applied, and here we have 2 options. Where did they come from, you ask? But opinions in the Ton Fashion team were divided, because... different manicurists do things differently and both options have a right to life.
      1. Apply the base again and dry under a UF lamp. This leaves us with a level platform for further work on creating the design.
      2. This option is based on the theory that colored gel applied directly to the rough surface of acrylic powder (that is, without a second base) adheres better. It’s up to you to choose here, try it, experiment.
    12. Then the finishing coat is applied and dried thoroughly under a lamp.
    13. After completing the procedure, remove the sticky layer and massage the cuticles using oil.

Note. It is absolutely not necessary to apply acrylic powder to the entire nail plate. It is enough to apply it to the damaged areas, and then use a nail file and base to sand it, smoothing out all the transitions.

Step-by-step instructions for removing acrylic powder

Of course, as the nails grow, the boundaries where the material was applied will become more noticeable. However, correcting such transitions is much easier than when using gel extensions.

To do this, remove the gel polish and sand the transition areas with a nail file. Then carry out the entire strengthening and decorating procedure again.

Everyone's manicure looks flawless.

Important! Never try to remove a reinforcement using force. It is necessary to use only a special acrylic remover. To do this, keep the nails in this solution for at least 15 minutes. Next, use nail files to slowly and calmly remove the substance.

In the absence of a specialized product, the likelihood of causing damage to the nail plate when removing material increases significantly, I would even say up to 90%. But if you decide to do this, then you need to:

  1. Remove the varnish.
  2. Apply a few drops of nail polish remover to a cotton pad, place on the nail plate and wrap in foil.
  3. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and remove the coating; if necessary, use a nail file.
  4. Gently but thoroughly sand the acrylic coating.
  5. Apply the base and cover with a new layer of powder.

By applying these tips, you can minimize nail injuries and enjoy a flawless manicure for more than one week.
