From a toilet sleeve. Original crafts from toilet paper rolls - ideas and tips for creative people

Halloween

Who would have thought that from this waste material, which many throw away without thinking, you can make original and useful things!
Looking at this composition, you can never tell what it is made of. Looks beautiful and airy!

Owls are one of the most popular figurines used to decorate the New Year tree. Potter lovers will especially like this Christmas tree toy.

I love this adorable snowman! I will definitely try to implement this idea with my child.

To make such a Santa Claus, the sleeve must be covered with colored paper. Then fold the ends inward, as in the picture.
Extend the lower ends so that they look like legs. Glue the folds together on top and secure a loop for hanging the New Year's craft. After this, cut out a triangle from white paper and glue it to the craft. Use a black marker to draw a face, add boots, arms and a belt.
You can put a small gift in such a grandfather, you can hang it on the New Year's tree as a toy, or you can decorate a New Year's gift with it.

It's amazing how many bright, unusual and fun toys you can create with a simple toilet paper roll! To do this, you may need markers, paints, pieces of colored paper and a lot of imagination!

An excellent solution for those who cannot get a real Christmas tree. It saves space and develops creativity!
And here is an unusual, but quite interesting toy for the New Year tree!
Everyone knows that Santa Claus uses reindeer. The roll must be folded in half and cuts made, as shown in the figure. Unfold the sleeve and form the back. To prevent the parts from opening, they can be glued together. Decorate the deer's face and antlers, draw eyes, and glue on the nose from a small pom-pom.

As you can see, with the help of bushings you can simply create a whole army of Christmas characters. My favorites are definitely the snowmen!

To create this decoration you will need several cardboard tubes. The bigger, the better. You also need to prepare a beautiful long rope or regular braid, colored markers or any paints. You might also find clippings from magazines, preferably New Year's themed, useful. The sleeves can be decorated in any style, it all depends only on your imagination. First, decorate the cardboard cylinders, and then stick magazine cutouts on them: Christmas trees, stars, snowflakes, Santa Clauses, Snow Maidens, gift boxes.
And finally, make small holes in each sleeve, and stretch the tape through the holes. The edges of the braid can be decorated with bows made from thin ribbons. Such a garland will look good both on the Christmas tree and somewhere on the wall.

To make such a snowflake, fasten the pieces of cut-out parts from the sleeve together, and then paint with white acrylic or water-based paint. Let the craft dry and decorate the ends with glitter.

In honor of the upcoming New Year, I decided to bring up our old New Year's crafts. Maybe someone will find it useful this year too ;). You probably haven’t made a Christmas tree out of toilet paper rolls yet :)

Well, our Christmas tree made from toilet paper rolls is finally ready. Now you can brag.

Having seen several Christmas trees made from toilet paper rolls on the imported Internet, I was inspired by the idea of making a similar one. And we started saving rolls, saving for almost a month, because we needed 17 pieces. Paper towels really helped out - a roll of them, cut in half, replaces 2 rolls of toilet paper.

Well, 17 rolls of toilet paper. We paint 15 of them green, 2 brown.

When all the rolls have dried, we begin to assemble a Christmas tree from them, gluing them with regular children's PVA glue.

It dries quickly, in the evening we glued everything together, everything dried overnight, and by morning there was already a strong, finished Christmas tree.

While Svyat was in kindergarten, I touched up any defects I noticed on the finished tree. And I’ll tell you what: this tree took SO MUCH paint that it would probably have been easier to buy a ready-made plastic Christmas tree of the same size 🙂 Because we thought that we would need a little paint, so we started painting with ordinary children’s watercolors - well, so that and the child could help, besides, in such a frost it would be difficult to ventilate the room from more odorous paints. So, each roll had to be painted 2-3 times on the outside and 2 times on the inside. Moreover, each roll turned out to have its own character: some absorbed paint instantly, like a sponge, others, on the contrary, were somehow slippery, and the paint rolled off them. As a result, many rolls turned out to be different colors. All of this took all the green paint from 2 sets (I had to buy a third for my son, otherwise I ruined these).

And finally, they began to decorate the Christmas tree. We dug into boxes with toys and garlands, which I wrote about in, selected the smallest balls and inserted them into rolls. I taped each ball so that it wouldn’t roll out from the slightest shaking. 2 battery-powered “candles” also came in handy - they shine like real ones, but are absolutely safe. I also taped the garland with tape so it wouldn’t fall. I taped onto the top a star taken from a broken electric garland.
And here it is - our Christmas tree:

Nearby, of course, waiting in the wings :)

It now stands on my desktop near the laptop and is pleasing to the eye. Not a masterpiece of interior design, of course, but an excellent reason to work with your child.

New Year's ball on the Christmas tree

There are a lot of ideas for making toilet paper crafts with your own hands, but we will still highlight one of the simplest options that you can make in a fairly short time with your children. Thanks to this, it is quite possible to create a whole range of such decorations both for the Christmas tree and for home decor in general for the New Year 2020.

For production you will need:

  • foam or balloon;
  • toilet paper;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • needle;
  • fancy rope;
  • beads or other decorative decorations for the ball.

Work process:

  1. We take our base in the form of a foam ball or, if you don’t have one, a small inflated balloon.
  2. For making crafts, toilet paper should be twisted into peculiar flagella and, having rolled them into a spiral, as in the photo, you need to attach it to a base coated with glue. You need to make as many of these twisted parts with your own hands as you need to decorate the entire ball.
  3. After the entire product has dried, we need to attach an elegant rope to some part of it so that for the New Year 2020 our work can show off on the Christmas tree. The rope should be secured to the ball with a needle.
  4. To make your Christmas tree decoration look impressive, you need to decorate it with beads or other decorative elements of your choice.

Master class “We all really like the beautiful Christmas tree.” The wonderful transformation of toilet paper rolls

Dear friends, hello!

Today I bring to your attention a master class on making a spectacular Christmas tree.

When I brought the Christmas tree to work, even the harshest critics were surprised. The questions continued: What is the Christmas tree made of? Where did you get so many bushings? How long did it take to make? etc. The miraculous transformation of ordinary toilet paper rolls caused some bewilderment.

When I started doing the work, I had doubts; I had no idea how many bushings would be needed and whether I had enough of them in stock. It was easier with paper; if you need anything, you can buy it. All doubts were overcome by a great desire to make a big Christmas tree and bring joy to the children.

So let's get started.

Required materials and tools:

toilet paper rolls

Green crepe paper

Ceiling tiles

Knitting

Wire

Scissors

Stationery knife

PVA glue

Glue gun

To work, you will need toilet paper rolls. The bushings must be cut in half. I entrusted this part of the work to my husband.

Green crepe paper.

Cut the crepe paper lengthwise into 4 equal pieces. You should get strips about 12 cm wide.

Apply glue to the roll and carefully wrap it in crepe paper.

We leave a small piece of paper at one end of the roll, the other end is long so that you can make a tail to create an imitation of candy. We cut off excess paper each time with scissors.

Tie the long end with green knitting thread.

We will need quite a lot of these “semi-candies.”

For the base of the craft, we cut out a circle from cardboard from the packaging of household appliances.

Glue a cardboard circle onto the ceiling tile.

Cut out a circle with a utility knife.

Right now the most crucial moment of work begins. First, we will distribute 10 rolls exactly in a circle, use a glue gun, and fix them to the base. You need to work accurately, as hot glue does not tolerate miscalculations.

We place the second row of rolls between the rolls of the first row, fixing everything with a glue gun.

On the first evening, I covered, as it seemed to me, a sufficient number of rolls, but when I started collecting Christmas trees, there were only enough blanks for half the work. The packaging of paper was also running low. I had to buy another roll of paper and start gluing the bushings again.

Up to row 7, each row has the same number of bushings, 10 pieces each.

The tree should go to the cone. Now you need to manage to connect the bushings, reducing each row by one 9 - 8, 7, 6, 5., and the last row of 4 bushings.

For the penultimate row, I shortened the bushings a little more.

For the last one I made very short rolls.

We make a snowflake on the top of the Christmas tree from wire and balls of foil.

Insert the snowflake into the full sleeve and secure with thread.

We insert the crown between the bushings of the penultimate row and fix 4 small blanks between ourselves and the crown. The width of the base of the Christmas tree is 40 cm, height is 75 cm.

A few hours of painstaking work and this is the result. The result pleased me.

A few more touches. The base of the craft is decorated with padding polyester and decorated with snowflakes.

The kids were absolutely delighted.

The Christmas tree came for the holiday,

Dressed up,

And there's a snowflake at the top

Sparkles and shines.

Happy New Year, dear friends!

Let January be a silvery powder

Will ruin any trouble.

We wish everyone only the best

In the coming New Year!
